she did in the last GS , wasn't even a big match. Sharapova kinda lost her "fangs" since she came. i mean she wasn't already in the best place before the whole meldonium thing. But since she came back idk. i think she should focus on her brand cause she's probably the female tennist making more money . Does she keep the attire and racket deal after retiring? if they do she should do it
I want Halep to win AO 2020,but Serena will have the biggest chance to win it because probably, AO will play indoor this year and that will advantage her.
Ok, lie to yourself... she shouldn't scare her top opponents now, who can make her run, so the extreme most she can achieve in a gs is a sf, at least depending on their experience
@@PHlophe I don't see a woman with 23 majors in the bag, awesome husband and child, losing sleep over white nationalist trolls. She can't do anything about inbred hatred of her bc she is black.
She put in some SERIOUS work in the off season.. 38 after a kid and she is still fresh as a daisy. Just wait for the AO, it looks like she has that attitude back
@@maedavis5934 and she is 2 times olympian too. remember, her daughter is named Olympia for a reason. i think if serena captures the sun with one of her trophees she'll fry those alt right tapeworms lol!
Wimbledon, Rogers Cup, US Open, and now the finals in Auckland (singles and doubles) ALL IN A ROW. She absolutely NEEDS to win the singles finals tomorrow!!!!!!
I am astounded at those who criticize a nearly 40-year-old woman who is holding her own in her chosen sport!! She will never physically look like an 18-year old and neither did their mothers at this point in time!! Go Serena
I feel if Serena wins this event it will give her MORE CONFIDENCE and also practice in a smaller event in a final to know what to do mentally and emotionally when she reaches the next slam final 😇
TeeKoooo as in mentally compared to the 4 slam finals she lost when she came back from child birth. Of course her credentials are enough to scare off players, but just that extra practice and small hurdle of a bit more confidence to get that 24th slam title 😊
PLAYING LIKE THE QUEEN THAT SHE IS! Yes Serena!!! Showing the future stars how the GOAT gets down 👑 Is that an eighth Aussie Open title I smell in the air?! 😏🙏🏽
Jeffrey Kaufmann Stfu you hater.. If she beats tough people you say steroids, if the seeds fall you say she only plays lower ranked players... Spam bot much
- ok am i the only one who thought Serena thought she was playing Sharapova ?? 😂😂😂 she gave her them breadsticks and dipped … and not to mention justine old coach is Amanda’s coach now … Serena showed no mercy and i love it 🔥
"Absolute perfection from Serena Williams. A flawless tennis clinic, she has given everyone here" is exactly right, sir! The boss, Serena Williams, is still in business after all these years. Well done, GOAT!
I think the extra motivation for Serena to play Anisimova it’s because she saw Carlos Rodriguez in the stands. It’s always been war of words between him and the Williams camp.
Serena was on fire and Anisimova was feeding her the shots to finish , especially with the return of serve going straight back to Serena at an average pace!
Serena, you are just extraordinary.Still powerful, energetic and super beautiful. 💪🏾💪🏾🎾🎾. We love and God bless you and your entire family💋💋💋💋. GOODLUCK tomorrow with the final thou disappointed that you never played with Carol.
Come On Serena your due for some sort of a title love!!! Boost your confidence and take this one home just in time for the Australian Open #24 shall follow suitttt hopefully
Serena was on today and very focused. She wants this title in New Zealand. Nothing against Amanda who Serena is good friends with Amanda's mother by the way.
She was hitting the ball hard, the perfect pace for Serena yet not mixing up her game and Serena absolutely loves that. Serena didn't even have to hit the ball too hard to generate power which we all know she has.
If she can start by playing this at the beginning of the season then who knows , I mean her movement and everything was there .. let go make some history then Serena :) you deserve it this year
It looks like that training has kicked in. Her speed and reaction times have vastly improved her recent slowness was the only advantage the rest of the field had. 25 this Year. Watch.
Damn. I hadn't seen this match yet. I expected Anisimova to perform much better against Serena in her slightly out of shape condition. But Serena really put on a master class here. Amazing. The veteran dominated.
This is what happpens when Serena minds her footwork. Also notice she didn't do one of those 'aya' sounds. I don't like it when she does that because in my opinion that's when she's not certain about her game. On this day her mental game showed up and than she is unbeatable. Just beautiful tennis. I only wonder when her serve will improve, it's not quite like what it used to be.
I did too but it makes sense that she would crush her. Serena eats up big hitting, slow movers (e.g. Sharapova) because they can’t outhit her. Still, absolutely clinical stuff here against anisimova.
You could see that when she was attacking Serenas backhand that Serena had to put a bit more air to her shots, which Amanda attacked and hit some good winners, and was causing Serena some problems ; but this was very few and far between ; Amanda will learn from this experience but Serena showing the youngsters who is still boss out there
I saw some brightness in Amanda she just meet the vantage serena and there is nothing she can do any player who meet the same serena will bow .Amanda the sky is your limit
It ia fantastic to see how Serenas movement has slowly improved throughout her comeback. Her serve has a ways to go, but at this rate I'm sure the greatest will be banging aces left and right! WE LOVE YOU SERENA! her opponent was super aggressive and kept Serena on her toes....kudos!
I hope she keeps cool and relaxed for all her upcoming finals...so she can win more titles...and Chrissy can retract her "open letter" or just forever walk the earth haunting tennis venues, never able to rest or understand how this beautiful, driven little girl from Compton did it her way and turned decades old records to dust😊
Nice to see Serena play so well but I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t such a blow out. The Osaka Pliskova match was for me, much more entertaining with both players performing at an incredible level with the outcome in the balance up until the final serve.
Serena played in top gear for the first time in possibly a few years. Looks ominous. Anisimova still impressed me actually. She hits the ball beautifully. But Serena was unplayable. I hope Anisimova gains from that rather than loses confidence...it happens.
