To give context, they’re pretty much in San Magnolia territory. They gave hints of it last episode with the Republic flag, and here with the statue. Also, that whole bombardment? Who else in the show do you know that has used mortars before? And to clarify what was being said coz it wasn’t translated, the static dialogue: “Fire!” “Unidentified unit! If you hear this, take cover!” “Now!”
That vision Fred saw was pretty much what could've happened if Shin's family never left the Empire. Kiriya said so himself, that if he had Shin on his side during the coup, the Empire would have persevered. Forcing to choose between one brother and another must've exacted a huge toll on her but ultimately Kiriya's beyond salvation.
In my head canon, I imagine Kiri was cussing out and berating Shin for putting Frederica at risk by carrying her onto the battlefield and then using her as a decoy. Then Shourei, Shin's brother, steps in and gets him to calm down because it all worked out in the end. Kiri begrudgingly agrees and finally tells Shin not to let it happen again. Shourei and Kiri both go on ahead into the afterlife leaving Shin and Frederica behind. This is my favourite series of 2021.
Yeah, I imagined his parting words in that scene was to take care of Frederica and for Shin himself to stop being so damn reckless (since the times they've encountered each other Shin was very willing to charge him alone through open ground with no cover or concealment).
@@ryansunil4080 Or buy the light novels. I was originally planning to wait to get into the LNs 'till the season is over (though I have been wanting to get into them before I knew the anime was even in production), but after hearing news of the delay and how long it was I decided to get into them after I watched episode 21. Book Walker is having a special on the series right now.
Kinda sad that crunchyroll didn't translated in English 2 important lines, it were in spanish tho : "Fire" & "Unidentified unit, if you hear this take cover!" BTW Shin's VA recommended fans to watch the episode with headphones.. Those lines was the reason. If you listen carefully you'll realize who said the lines
My guess is they wanted to keep it ambiguous since the messages' audio was heavily distorted and hard to make out on purpose, it might ruin the effect if someone watching on subtitles could just read it.
If you haven't heard the news, the last two episodes after this one have been delayed to March 2022. Because of all the production issues, there are no more time slots to air the next episodes, since the new season is starting soon. So there's not going to be an episode next week and we'll have to wait 3 months for the conclusion to this show. I hope people will remember to check back in, when the final episodes are released.
@@Lalafluffbunny Sorry. I've heard people say it's Aniplex's fault for rushing the studio, and that they tried to push the series out even earlier. It could have turned out worse. Delays like this have happened to other shows before, so it's not the worst thing ever.
This episode was very emotional in which I cried and left me wondering what happened is the worst, seeing the decision of a little girl saying goodbye to her knight and the scene of the nozen was very sad 🥺
That scene where Frederica imagines how things could’ve been if Kiri, Shin and Rei were together by her side only for reality to sink in that its impossible and that Kiri and Rei are gone now…
12:09 "If only the Empire had been a bit kinder to its own people, to other countries, to their fellow citizens... perhaps this sight would have been possible." LN 3 Excerpt.
When anju fell i said to myself " so this is this episode huh" i stop eating my lunch and continue to watch holding my tears, im about to see the last of them died but i had hope lena will show up since they're in san magnolia territory now. When the bombardment help shin i thought the federacy caught up but there's no way it was that fast so lena and hi 86 survives it's the only hope i had lol well F since this will continue on march 🤦♂️
Bruhh I just finished watching this episode and if I've known the next episode will be delayed on march 12 I would have continued watching it and just wait for it to be completed
I love that Shin was waiting for Len's orders even if he probbly doesn't realise it's her Can someone tell me if he did realise? I can't wait until March!
@@wiwider1233 idk about that but lena. right after this part they will meet soon. although they would probably decide to let us catch up with lena so we might see her pov first before the story proceed on the part where they meet so maybe yes maybe not. they love cliffhanger
They are ahead of the main force in enemy territory, no back up is going to get to them in time. I think it has to be Anju and Kurena providing artillery and missile support. Except, that one delayed attack was one that only Lena has used before...
That was SUCH a cruel cliffhanger. I was on the fence about picking up the LN, but I absolutely can't wait until March so off I go 😣... anyone knows exactly which volume/chapter to pick up from?!
Please, please, pretty please, take a look at the next episode! It came out today, and it's a masterpiece. I would love to see your opinion of it as well.
