You done a great job restoring the clock. I have a similar clock that my Mom got at a second had store in the early 50's, she paid $8.00 for it back then. Thanks for sharing your expertise

I found one almost identical to yours except mine has a step base. I got it for $ 10 it needs a main spring and cleaning overall. The chime spring is good and the chime works. I am going to learn how to replace the spring from RU-vid videos.

Wow, nice job. I have a similar Sessions mantle clock that I'm going to attempt to restore. The movement in mine also rings a bell on the half hour which is a little different. I'm still at the getting it to run again stage so wish me luck.

Very nice clock and great restoration

I have had good luck refastening clock faces & glass to the bezels using hot melt glue when it can be hidden from sight. It holds good enough and can be pealed off fairly easily. JB weld is great for many things but i doubt if it would be removable on a delicate clock bezel. And I too wanted to make sure I didnt overoil my Seth Thomas mantel clock. But I think I underoiled, & the clock wouldn't stay running. So I used a bit more oil, now it has been running steady, for a few weeks so far anyway. I also had those columns to reinstall & rather than use the little brass brads, I was able to buy tiny little brass phillips screws which are easier to install for sure.

Just out of curiosity, what recipe did you use in your ultrasonic cleaner? Whatever you used really brightened up the brass and made the movement look really nice.
