Subbed about halfway through the video. You explain how you should and shouldn't do the exercise, and by the end of the video answered all my questions about side lateral raises, and made me see the mistakes I've been doing the last couple years.
Seth is awesome and his channel is one of the best on RU-vid that I’ve come across. It took me awhile and many views of this video to get this shoulder exercise right, and although it’s still probably not 100% right so I’ll keep watching lol , it’s really helped me a lot towards my mid-life crisis goals! Thanks Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed.. I subscribed immediately.. Clear, concise, logical and, he has cannon ball shoulders to authenticate his logic.. lol. I'm far from a beginner and this lad confirmed some of what I did already AND enlightened me on a few angles.. He knows his shit and looks like he knows his shit.. Definitely got my ears..
Thanks for this video. Helped me figure out what I was doing wrong and why possibly my shoulders would pop when I did these kind of exercise. I'm not looking to be a body builder but watch your videos for motivation and these kinda videos on my weight loss journey
Just want to say thank you Seth, this video 110% improved my form and how much weight I could move in this exercise, shoulders have grown ever since and this is my favorite shoulder movement now, thank you again Seth
I like this guy. He is nice and informative and juiced to the gills! Fucking feels so nice to see someone so jacked and the muscles pumping during the movements. Isn't it just satisfying to watch him?
Bro, that was a great video, excellent depth of detail and reiteration of points covered. These are the quality of weight training videos needed, you even got some humor sprinkled in there, GG!
Good vid, the most important thing I think is, lift the weight with your shoulders, and arms slightly bent. You immediately feel your side delts burn, and they'll grow. Never lift the weight with your hands, and with straight arms, that'll work front delts a little and not much else.
I just found this video, and holy fracking shite, this guy is awesome...not flying anywhere, god i look good, every inch counts...throw in some solid advice and it equals subscribe.....awesome job and solid body dude
Even though this guy is obviously doing a lot more than just working out at the gym (if you know what I mean); he still has to train real hard to get his body to look like this.
not really m8 your not naturally working harder roids make your endurance so much better you don't know what real natural hard work is ... your red blood cell counts, blood flow and oxygen distribution is off the charts on roids its so easy to work hard on it... you could easily look like him and close to him just by doing 2 legit cycles of test e and moderately working out but in the gym you'll work out so much harder when your on and you won't even notice yourself working harder you just do
Still the best looking body builder out there period! So symmetrical! And wow there are some REALLY smart dudes posting here. In fact, a couple of them have pointed out that he uses anabolic steroids! WOW u guys are REALLY sharp! Thanx for pointing that out cause I'm sure no one watching this might have guessed a PROFESSIONAL body builder might be using steroids! U guys are sharp as tacks wow!
You sound so friendly and kind that when you said the f word I bursted out laughing hahhaha but an informative and helpful video thank you so much. Yes you look good!
Man, Seth, I have been doing all the wrong things, flapping, straight arms, etc thank you correcting me and I love the way you have pointed out the incorrect methods, you are marvellous! You made me laugh too. Very educational indeed. Thank you again. Cheers.
now I know why I can't feel my rear delt ! Thank you so much and Wow, you look fanstastic Seth ! It's seems that you are coming from a Marvel's comic book :)
Seth- when doing these side lateral raises , how long of rest between sets do you recommend? I usually do three working sets per angle, around 4-6 reps. Is 30 sec to 60 seconds ok or do you suggest longer rest times?
Seth is very knowledgeable! I been watching his vids lately. Who said a Muscle Head is Dumb?...LOL. Seriously, he is very strategic! Probably one of the best on RU-vid!
Hey Seth! Great videos man! Loving your direct, no BS approach!! I have a question for you. Would you do just one set at one angle and then change the angle for each of your 4 sets (I usually do 4) or would you do 4 sets at one angle and then change angle and do another 4 sets? What's your recommended set and rep range to get big ass boulders in the shoulders? ;) Cheers! Tim (UK)
Is that before or after said magic sky daddy murdered most of the world (Old Testament)? The idea behind your religion is like a domestic abuse case - deity spent the first half of the book murdering and "testing" said creations, only to turn around in the second part of the book and hand humanity a bouquet of "sorry I did that but you made me do it" flowers in the form of a sacrificial lamb, promising He'll "never do it again". You do realize how crazy that sounds, right?
Thanks a lot Seth i have had I real problem developing my side delts and usually my ego takes over the importance of form but after watching this video I finally have a sound understanding of how to do this exercise, you seem like an awesome person and I wish you the best of success
Hey Seth! How many sets & reps would you prefer? I notice I feel a tremendous amount of blood flow when I do drop sets, or triple drop sets. What''s your opinion on that?
Great video. I don't know but always believed the "bird flapping in front" was a variation to the standed side raise just a different position i think its commonly known as a thumps up side raise im sure theres more then 1 type of side raise. i also think there are other side raises you can do. Theres another one a lot of people do it's like a trap raise but angled so its a side raise either way they all feel like they work great maybe try doing all 3 positions in a set. another one is a wrist down straighter arm side raise and theres a hook arm though to extension single arm side raise there are heeps
Great Video. I just subscribed. But question, Whenever I do side lateral raises I always get a grinding sensation in my shoulders. I was getting it too in my bench but I started getting pain so i stopped benching. I've been doing a bunch of rotator cuff exercises everyday but still get a grinding sensation on my shoulders. Have you ever had this issue and if so what exercises helped you? Thanks
Pass PAss I had that one too. I got myself a massage from my sister's physical therapist and it helped. And then I stopped directly training my shoulders for weeks. No more grinding sensation. The doctor also adviced me to do lighter weights but more volume. So far so good. My shoulders are still kind of lagging because I skipped directly training those, but the grinding sensation is gone. I'm trying to do shoulders more often now so that they'd cacth up. I'm no expert but considering that this helped me, I suggest you give it a try. Get a good physical therapist, consult a doctor and stop directly hitting on your shoulders until they don't get the grinding sensation anymore. I hope this helps.
ran dumb bell raises from 20# up to 45# and back down because i saw you do it in another vid....was sore for 3 days!! hurt to put up 45#DBs afterwards but i got up to 60s, normally finish with 80s. shoulders were fried- cant wait to do it again.
holy shit man I just watched the video and than grabbed some 20lbs dumb bells tried twelve reps and I'm getting ready to go do shoulders now I got an amazing pump just from that your great man defiantly subscribing to you !!
Thank you 🙏 you are always toooo the point I am learning a lot from your videos and most importantly I started lifting dumbbells 💪 and I am following whatever you have said. Thaaaaanks
I've been following your IG pg for a while, just found your channel. Wow! Great tutorials. Shoulders have always been my weakest muscle group. Thanks for really taking a hands on approach w/ your videos. Good shit!
