Seth Voice Comparison (CV: Yuki Kaji) | Under Night In-Birth II [SYS:Celes] 

Seth sounds exhausted.
Seth is in a weird spot in UNI2 as his own Arcade Mode takes place in its own weird continuity picking up after Seth beat Hyde in his previous Arcade Mode. Seth receives Linne's Seal of Reincarnation and while it does provide him with power, it's also incredibly draining on him. This plot point is brought up in other arcade modes like Gordeau's where Seth is acting on borrowed time. This is incongruent with what the probable intended finale actually be involving him teaming up with Hyde while Linne already being defeated so it's all over the place but Seth definitely sounds a bit more winded out than how he usually is. I'll really miss his MIKIRERU KA? line on his old 66B and 6C and his TACHIKIRU on 3C. I also bothered to include his Chain Shift lines since I've seen a lot of people online mistake one of them for Seth saying his name but he's just saying "Setsuna" which just means "in an instant". His CS lines also happen to be slightly different because a whole lot of them say stuff like "there's no escape" and "let's continue" but Seth has lines like "Can you keep up?".
Yuki Kaji's performance as Seth in the original UNI is flat out my favorite role from him. Before he went on to voice a bunch of protagonists in harem series he gave UNI1 Seth an incredibly deep voice that I haven't heard him try to give to another character. It sort of resembles what Nao Toyama ended up doing except where Yuki Kaji became known for voicing characters on the other end of the vocal tone spectrum where he doesn't play another gloomy character with a deep voice.
