Setting up my latest homemade long-duration-time-lapse camera at a frozen Montana mountain lake. This newest version has a rain detector and a wiper blade to help keep the glass clean of water spots. The system uses a Canon 60D DSLR camera. The camera will take a picture every minute for twelve hours a day for at least a few weeks, to use to make a time lapse video of the ice melting. The system can also detect the wind speed and direction, but I didn't carry the hardware in for this trip because I hadn't tested that part of it 100%, and I didn't want to take a chance that it could somehow stop the system from working.
