BoomBoom is such a underrated track. The album "Going Seventeen" has - what I call- "hidden" b-sides because that album itself is just so underrated! Smile flower is so special 😭 they wrote this song at a time when they were uncertain about their future, but wanted to reaffirm their commitment to each other that they'll always be together even if the future isn't what they hoped it would be. But man, look at them now. Known as the kpop powerhouse, the theatre kids of kpop, self producing idols, selling 10 million albums and just got awarded daesang yesterday. "Smile Flower" and "Circles" are the only SVT songs that I can't help but cry every time I listen to them, especially if someone starts crying too. It's serendipity (no such thing as coincidence) that I watched a video just prior to finding yours where the members were complimenting Woozi on the lyrics...praising him in fact, because they loved the words...said they were magical...and they asked him how he came up with them. Woozi said that he doesn't know how to express his emotions well, and so he just doesn't; but when he writes, he's able to find the words to express what he's feeling very easily. So the song IS a love letter not just to Carats, but to the group. You might also be interested in Woozi's solo demo of the song. Apparently he was doing a live vlog in his studio, and he said he'd sing a few lines. Instead he sang the whole song and had almost everyone in tears. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I find SO MUCH COMFORT, peace and love in just hearing Woozi's voice when he performs his solo ballads. You just can't help but smile, give a little sigh of relief after a long day, and maybe even cry as he gives you the musical shoulder youneed. You should look it up. It's here on RU-vid.
