really lovely - how do you use the knitting needle to turn the tie pieces inside out?

Thank you so much Hannah! I use the knitting needle to push the closed end to the inside of the tube, than it becomes easy to push the fabric to the right side! Just be careful not to push through the fabric!

wow so pretty! I had a question about viscose; since you prewashed/dried it, does that mean it won't shrink anymore?

Thank you so much Angelina! Prewashing the fabric does help control shrinking-- I will still probably line dry the dress as I usually don't put my handmade clothes in the dryer (knits and tee shirts are exception.) Hope this helps!

Lauren, I have a serger question: If a serger sews the seam, overlocks, and trims, why do you sew your seams first, then serge them? Why don't you just serge? I don't have one and don't know much about them. Thank you!

Hi Pat! Usually when I'm sewing a woven garment, I set my serger up with three threads instead of four which isn't quite as strong. I like the control of using the sewing machine first, just in case I need to rip out a seam-- one line of stitching is much easier to remove! Hope this helps!
