Nice little video! Would you please make one saying how and why you started sewing? Please let viewers know to check the machine manual. I thought all machines took the same type of bobbin. My Brother always birdnested the lower thread right out of the box and I could never fix it. Thirty years later, I discovered it does not take a “universal” #15 but a Brother bobbin. Some take 15, some vintage machines take 66, and my new Singer takes a 15J. You will have all kinds of tension issues and broken needles if it’s not right. Thanks for this beginner vid!

Not really much to it. My grandmothers were quilters and they pasted away when I was young. So I guess it’s in my blood. I got my first sewing machine when I was 30 after a bit of a rough patch in my life and taught myself how to sew with RU-vid videos. A lot of the videos that I would watch assumed that you knew certain things. Well I did not so I started making videos the way I learn. Step by step.

I usually put my pressure foot down when inserting needle as well as threading it. This is a must video for first time sewers. Ty

Thank you for your informative and easy to understand tutorial. I am a newbie at sewing and have made a variety of things and hope to someday make a quilt. In my opinion Singer Heavy Duty is the best machine for all sewers. I've had expensive electronic quilting machines as well but found myself returning to this one. Great video for first timers. Do you use a serger? If so could you make a how to on that as well if you have time? Thanks!👍

Hi scrappy, 😁which model is your sewing machine, I have the same my model is the 4443, These machine are so durable and fast more like Industrial 🤗 hey you did not mentioned that button on top of the machine where is letter S is at but on top of the machine🤔🤔HAPPY SEWING😊
