Everybody should keep Shabbat - from friday sunset until saturday sunset. Shabbat is a day of remembrance of God's creation for all people. Read it in Exodus 20th chapter. It is a 4th commandment.

Is it fasting for nearly 24 hrs? And eating after Saturday sunset?

@@goodhealthall no, it's not only for Israel, it's for all humanity that was created by God. Because God created all the humanity, not only Jews. Every person, not only Jews, have souls and destiny and the right to keep ALL God's commandments.

זאת טעות גדולה מאוד מאוד לומר בקידוש "ברוך הוא וברוך שמו " כשבעל הבית מזכיר את שמו של הקדוש ברוך הוא ,כי כל השומעים יוצאים ידי חובה מבעל הבית ולכן אסור לדבר או לומר משהו עד סוף הקידוש וגם לא ברוך הוא וברוך שמו, כמו כן אסור לבעל הבית באמצע הקידוש לומר לאנשי הבית שיצטרפו אליו באמירת הקידוש כי גם זה נקרא " הפסק " ואסור לפי ההלכה.
