I always saw the ability of hanging of a hawk worthless and useless but now I´m wondering. Did they plan to use that ability to get to an unreachable place like an ISLAND? there was an island in the beta of this game, right? could it be the only way to reach a colossus arena that was far beyond the limits of the land? That would explain a lot. What do you think?
+Reno Valentin Agreed, that's what it sounded like to me. Kinda makes sense, considering the dormant state of most colossi and how Wander "awakens" them... but Wander's people don't speak Japanese... they have their own language
Maybe the "Japanese bits" are the remnants of what was planned in the first place, before they decided to do a "fantasylike language"? But I don't know about the process of the development.
that would not be the imperative "wake up", which would be okimashite, okite, okiro, or okire. okimasu is in the present perfect tense, so it would mean "___ is waking up" or "___ will wake up".
Some of those unknown sounds sound awfully lot like a wild boar and remember Sirius is resembling a armored boar maybe just maybe that could be the sounds that Sirius would make!
i know your comment is literally 2 years old but i should mention that the files for sirius's textures really are still in the game as well as leftovers of the area they had planned to fight him in
7:41 here we see a quadratus, in it's natural habitat, a stone valley with water, though it seems agitated though,a pelagic is in its territory. The quadratus does its dominance display and scares the pelagia into the water.
@@alexandracorrea803 dry if it's late to mention but it could also be as good as This mhw nature video about the pickle ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6sYBGFYBmOw.html
In an earlier build Ueda planned for a 2nd player to control the colossi, like you control Yorda after beating Ico, but the idea was abandoned. That's why the colossi still have playable controls, so I can only assume the soldiers and Emon had similar controls.
I used to adore this game as a kid. Seeing all of this is pretty impressive. I always loved how Wander either said Agro’s name quietly or straight up screamed it depending on the situation. Time stamp follows. 13:38
Nomad, you never stop impressing me! All the video was EPIC (as always) but what made me go WOW was the part of the sounds. I c-l-e-a-r-l-y recognized a monkey and a wild borar/pig sounds (Monkey and Sirius, I suppose). Omg I'm so excited XD thank you so mucho for the video!!! :D
Wow those sounds, what a great find! As I listen to them I can match them up with several of the unused colossi in my head easily. But the most obvious are the boar and monkey sounding ones.
The motion blur only occurs in the cut scenes, but I have never tried to turn it off - it may be possible though. Not sure what you mean about the 'Colossi idle animations'?
14:20 - 14:30 are the sound files for the 3 other colossus that were cut from the game when there was supposed to be 18. the second one is The Monkey colossus but I forget the first and third :(
Also,at 14:10 he says ``okimasu!´´.In japanese that means ``wake up!´´in a polite way. By the way, could you do a video about Wander,Emon and Dormin dialogues but slowed down?At least Dormin´s dialogue, because many times I barely can hear them with the Queen and her ``lag´´.
I clearly heard the female portion of Dormin in this video. Why do people say it disappears? And nice work as always dude. Malus looked very eerie in the Shrine of Worship...
The wiki was correct,Malus does sound like a human. However, since there was lighting, rain and a ton of stone moving around,I never heard all the sounds. The bit at 5:16 is almost completely normal to me.
I can't is the answer. There is no way to load two colossi at the same time. I put Pelagia #12 and Quadratus #2 together in this video with video editing. But it requires a lot of work beforehand (in game).
It's still there in the beginning of the resurrection, you can hear her start it off and then the male part finishes it. Afterwards the female portion is there but is more faint admittedly. Maybe it's because Dormin was being louder than usual though so the male voice just resonated more. After the cutscene the female voice is still heard as usual.
Very nice Nomad! And I was sort of laughing at Emon every time he stopped. xD The unused noises sound really strange and awesome. Got to be beta colossus or maybe there was going to be little monsters like maybe the forbidden lands wasn't going to be empty at one point but I'm probably wrong. xD
those sounds were for the other eight collossus... in the original plan they were about to be 24 collossus, not 16 T~T but the owners changed their mind at the.Last moment
I can't control Mono as she only moves during the final cut scene. She is not like Emon and the soldiers who are interactive like the colossi and Wander, that is they still have playable animations. Perhaps the devs tested them this way or in an earlier build it was possible for a 2nd player to control them?
Those cries are probably either wildlife or an unused colossi. The screeching is probably either Roc or Phoenix, the second one sounds like Sirius, the next two are worm. Then the next are...cows? Perhaps cows were planned to be wildlife? Then another two worm ones. Then what sounds like a sword sound effect?
The Colossi in the shrine of worship according to me its supposed to be wander! :D and at the end of the game in shadow of the colossus you turn into a colossi and you turn back into baby ico :D + you turn back into a baby in the end of the game and the girl picks you up and brings you into the secret garden = D:
