Great video, gonna be respooling my son's reel tonight actually, he's been using my old reel that came off a Dawia Samurai I bought to put a baitcaster on. That reel is junk! Every 4th cast, the cover falls off, and I'm left cutting the line and redoing all of it. Dawia makes some nice rods, some decent spinning reels, but there spin cast I do not recommend!
So, can you provide a video that demonstrates how to switch the retrieve handle of the reel from right hand retrieve to a left hand retrieve on a Synergy TI 10 reel please?
I re-lined my daughter's Shakespeare "Scooby Do" pole, but instead of stripping all old line off, which was still good, I just took a bunch off and did a Uni- Knot to tie on the new stuff. The "cone" seems to play an important role in function and drag...not sure how, but I'm thinking witchcraft. LOL :D
I have a Shakespeare Synergy reel with a plastic thumb button that broke. The reel seems really well built except for the plastic thumb button design flaw. I tried looking on the parts replacement list of Shakespeare but couldn’t find a match. Is there a better aftermarket thumb button? Right now I have it held together with hot glue.
@@joeramirez8557 I was able to get it off with some "light" force using tools. Put everything back together and now when I spin the reel it doesn't pull the line in half the time. Weird cause it works a little then acts as if it just misses the line a few spins and then will catch again. This was a cheap $15 combo set from Walmart for my daughter. I think maybe its time to buy her something a little nicer. Thanks for the reply
very bad video. I tried several times following instructions, but no luck. The loop around the reel did not tighten. Then I finally grabbed both ends of the line - the short end and the uncut end, and pulled it tight. Only then did it work.
