The first person MJ thanked in the first line of his fucking hof speech was Scottie Pippen. MJ pushed everyone to be better because he knew that when the game was on all the opponents wouldn’t have no mercy so he had to toughen them up and guess what? It worked they had the greatest dynasty in modern NBA history (80s onwards). No body think Scotiie or Grant were bums they were good players but MJ was the spear head of that team he was the best player on the planet.

As a lifelong bulls fan this is extremely embarrassing for Scottie. All the documentary did was showcase the highs and lows of their season together and pippen did in fact sit out on his team because of his own contract debacle which he was advised against. He himself was signaling Jordan to come back when he left lol. He’s just upset that Jordan’s son dated his ex wife and that’s not something to be mad at Jordan about when Jordan himself spoke against the relationship and expressed his disappointment in it.

The strangest part about MJ, Scottie and the doc is that there were no lies there. What happened, happened. I saw it as it happened. As great of a player as Pippen was - and the Bulls definitely dont win without him - he has always been a letdown as far as his mentality and attitude. The young ones don't know this, but it was a constant theme in the 90s that "the Bulls should be the favorite to win if Scottie __________ (fill in the blank of whatever problem Pippen was creating for the team)" Pippen wasn't as consistently distracting as Rodman during the run, but he often pouted and did things that were petty, then when asked about it, wouldn't say anything. They're both old men now, so its even more sad. But Jordan has always been anger driven and about winning, while Pippen has always been angry and all about himself. The moral of this long comment is that if Pippen is mad, then it's likely because of something he created. Of course he didn't like the way he was "portrayed" because its embarrassing to watch your younger self in home movies being cringe.

This is what a lot of people won't get. It is not about the championships... it's not about MJ's treatment of his teammates. It's about them thinking they were misrepresented in a docuseries about their championships and careers. If you have ever been a part of history, you know that you want your role to be represented as accurately as possible. And you will have a problem with those you feel flagrantly misrepresented you. Now I don't know if they were actually misrepresented, but I do know they weren't talking until after "Last Dance" aired.
