@@qwerty62201 probably because the creator/ shark does, and it looks like a nursing shark aswell. Not to mention the countless Phyrexias do fly, especially 🔵⚫️
As a janklord, I think Hidetsugu and Kairi deserves a look. Seems like a fun HB commander (for you, not the opponent), but more importantly it can cast Explosive Singularity off the top of your deck in standard for 20 damage in 1 turn.
The sword seems decent in a red deck; the protection is nice (especially from black) and casting reckless impulse or a lightning strike for the low price of smacking your opponent with it seems pretty good. The spells you’ll cast are the ones that help you close the game rather than get value. Only problem is when the red deck is going to find time to play and equip a sword instead of just beating face, which I’m guessing is why it won’t actually see play there
@@Acradus It's slow, yes. But if my raiju, or even Squee, has +2/+2 and protection from black, that gets past Sheoldred, trespasser, and obliterator to deal damage in when you would be brick-walled. Additionally, the damage trigger almost seems built for red with the flashback cmc 2 or less (lightning strike and play with fire). I might run it as a 1-of in my best of 1 deck anyway. Just to spite black.
If mono red includes this, it's probably a less RDW/Unga Bunga kinda red deck. I see this mostly as something you could splash into a grixis deck that can run unblockables (Kaido) and wants to re-cast for value.
Let's see the cards in action with you in Canada for the PRE-PRE-Release with Loading Ready Run (LRR)!! Best crossover yet! So stoked to see it next Saturday.
Well since you said to leave suggestion in comments, I think Surge of Salvation could be an interesting card if only to stop mono red burn in its tracks. You should take a look!
Trying the shark as a 2 off in my 8-cast legacy deck. Just testing it out with cards like FoW, Thoughcast and Urz's saga. (construct tokens who care for artifacts.)
Not creating creatures right away with the shark may actually be a upside for a control deck as you can depopulate getting a incubate 4 clearing your opponents side of the field while having a good body to transform at instant speed.
Chrome Host Seedshark is perfect for an Ichormoon Gauntlet style deck. It creates a body when you cast your Planeswalkers and that body benefits from Proliferate. Or you can use it in some ridiculous Mutate deck.
i made it to mythic with volatile arsonist lol theyre usually tapped out/wasted all their removal. mono red with a splash of black for go for the throats
Weird Young Pyromancer, I have never made a commander deck in that style that I liked before. If it dies then that’s like 1/8 of all the creatures in the deck gone.
Zurgo and Ojutai seems bad, if it was enters the battlefield with a hexproof couter and at the beginning of your upkeep remove the counter it woud be much better as at least you could untap and possibly protect it or get in and then return to hand, as it is the card just looks like a nerfed Ojutai as it costs the same mana but requires Red, has lower attack than ojutai and also have less atack than zurgo, cannot be used as a defensive creature as it loses the hexproof right away where original Ojutai does not while its untapped so OG Ojutai is just a better version of this all around. It has Haste but thats it.
your going to see the sword of once and future will see ALOT of play in monored lol "I attack with my 4/4 creature, shove a bolt into my yard and cast it
Sword seems good in mono black or mono white midrange to get double uses of all your lay down arms or go for the throat. I can't see playing more than one but being able to attack through an obliterator then shoot it from your graveyard seems fantastic
