Weep holes for lots of water or Snow/ice. I know it should just run out the back.. but if you park front pointing downhill could be a problem that requires a solution.
Relaxing to watch. You could fill some ASMR in instead of the speed montage to mix it up. Like you doing the other pockets on high speed without music. Grow that beard back! /edit
Why would you weld up weep holes in the bed? Its on an upper rib. But lots of water or melting snow/ice needs somewhere to go especially if the tailgate is ice dammed. I see alot of useless fabrication on this particular video.
