I think it’s sadly poetic that makeup is used to make people look more presentable both in life and in death. The twist that Lacey is a postmortem cosmetologist was super interesting too

The fact that all those other girls that Lacey was putting makeup on were probably also dead because of the maggots and the eyes opening and then having to "fix her" and their same like facial expression is just unsettling, it just kind of seems like she was preparing herself by using the other people in the morgue but still couldn't get used to or be okay with seeing her best friends dead body and just absolutely going bat shit insane at the end. It's like the whole thing was a trance that she was in (which i think can be pretty obvious gathered from the end).

Don't know if you noticed,but at around 10:01 you can see some emails from angry parents about jay not being girly enough for a girls' games girl,and the first two emails aren't that clear but I can only make out the last one,it says "I can definitely agree that a character that says "I'd only be caught dead wearing makeup" in one of her games is not a role model little girls should be having,I dont know why they couldn't just keep lacey and the other one and get rid of the boygirl thing. Let us know about updates on sending emails. Maybe also block it in schools until then." Rocio's reply was "be careful what you wish for ;)"

explanation: Rocio made Lacey, Jay and Maisie. all having their own sense of style. due to Jay, moms were mad over her being so tomboyish. there was even a line where it was said by jay that "id be caught dead wearing makeup" so Rocio took this seriously and said "careful what you wish for" ( 10:10 ) and actually killed off Jay, and made her actually caught dead before wearing makeup. Lacey works as a mortuary cosmetologist here, so when she found Jay it was confirmed she was also dead. which made her start panicking. even throwing up. of course she goes in denial and etc, now, Lacey Maisie and Jay are the only real girls that are stuck in digital. Lacey's real body even being in wires. dying over and over and over again in digital, in an official image, Lacey mentions everytime she died, she feels less like herself (her real body.) so now that Jay died, theres only 2 real girls left to suffer. in 5:25 , Charlie, aka Charchar, aka the diner player, states "like she does to lacey?" basically pointing out that Rocio gave Lacey her Uncle and stalker and the diner and etc. torturing Lacey. hope that sums things up, love this series

I can't remember if it was in this laceygames video or another, but there were a lot of images showing parents complaining about how Jay was a 'bad influence' on kids because of her tomboyish nature (one even saying laceygames would be better without Jay entirely). Rocio responded with 'careful what you wish for ;-)' and killed Jay off. The whole reason Jay was killed was because she was proud of how boyish she appeared, and wouldn't be caught dead wearing makeup. Lacey putting makeup on Jay was a last-stitch effort to bring her back and save her, but it was already too late. yeah, really sad stuff

I can’t remember exactly where, but you can see emails complaining jay wasn’t feminine enough, and how they wanted jay “gone” as parents where scared their children would be like jay. So Rocio killed jay, (figuratively, and literally), this is why the line “Maybe if you where more feminine, this wouldn’t have happened” hits me pretty hard as it wasn’t jays fault for her own death, it was angry parents fault for wanting to get rid of jay.

Some people work in morgues as makeup people to get the dead people ready for their funeral. That’s what Lacey is doing and all those people that she was doing makeup to where dead, that’s why they where funky and the one girl had a ‘worm’ (maggot) crawl from behind the makeup thingy.

I love theses videos and actually when Lacey was in the morgue that’s because it was her job for whatever reason there’s a job where you put makeup on dead body’s so when Lacey was working at her job she saw jay as the next body she had to put make up on so it sucks that her friend was a “client” unwillingly since jay said she’d rather die then wear makeup

I didn't even notice until during the scene that the "worm" you were looking at was actually a maggot crawling onto that client's hair because the next thing you know, Jay's body and eyes are completely rotting away quickly and the maggots are eating at her flesh. The answers were right in front of us the whole time that it makes me want to puke, but it's so creative.
