She has nothing to compare her current relationship to, meaning she has never experienced what it's like to be in a monogamous, committed for a lifetime relationship with her now husband and father of her children, so how can she know what she prefers? And how can she truly know the reality of her relationship when he can satisfy himself in any way he likes outside of the relationship? I've been on both sides of this (monogamy/polyamory) with the right partners, and polyamory leaves so much to be desired. So many damaged people drawn to other damaged people, and neither side has enough awareness about what drives them. There's a lot of healing and maturing to be had. Some people are too smart for their own good.
