The show without Jessica's critique is just not based in reality.

This channel and Oliver Twixt are the best channel to shade ANTM but Jessica is way more polite while the former contestants on ANTM spill their tea of the show in Oliver's channel.

Exactly - Tyra tries to defend the choice as "if I had said something on set I don't think you could have continued" but because she told Ashley she was doing well and praised her OF COURSE she wasn't going to change what she was doing. So what Tyra was saying essentially translates to "rather than give you a chance to improve so you can stay in this competition, I'm going to tell you afterwards that you sucked." So this poor woman was basically tricked into the bottom 2: brought on set and immediately sent to change, brought out and told to change again which throws her off, brought out and told she's doing well and explicitly not directed to do things differently, and then told AFTER the fact that she was problematic. Now that there's nothing she can do to change or fix it. When each photo shoot or challenge can get you sent home, holding back any critique or advice is sabotage. The photographer/judge/face of the show holding back critique or advice? Cruel.

Agreed. Like it’s easy to understand that could throw someone off. Like give the girl a chance in the outfits first. But even so I expected Tyra might say “your clothes might be changed at shoots for whatever reason and you gotta be able to be on your toes and roll with it and still model through”. But no she went WAY worse we saying “I changed it cause you were failing” like dude

But she made a mistake by starting focusing on it instead of giving a good picture wich sent her home.

@@danitini14 Tyra deliberately planted a seed of doubt in her head to confuse her, all those costume changes was an obvious sabotage trick to throw her off her game . And then she rips the girl down , by telling her she was "the most difficult to shoot".so messed up.

@@lunarae2266 Jessica can elaborate more on this, but is something that, artistically is not to out there and that displays the model features. This shoot could have been for a skin care brand. An example of a shoot that wouldn’t work, would be Cycle 7 Circus Freaks as the make-up hides many models features and is leaning more towards an artistic concept shoot rather than fashion shoot. I hope it makes sense.

That’s why I love the Naomi show . They did realistic challenges and it really felt like the judges wanted to help the models build portfolios

This is such a great idea! Since Jessica is friends with some former ANTM participants, if they were wolling to be involved it would be amazing to see how certain shoots could be recreated to showcase the models talents 💖

This was bothering me so much while watching.

I think it was because you had multiple people assigned to post processing, so of course it’s going to reflect who edited the photos’ opinions and style. I think at least one didn’t get the idea of “beauty shot” or may not have been briefed, which would explain why some were much closer than others. Or Tyra lost focus on her own vision, which I could see too. Most of the photographers on the show are a lot more consistent with their final product as far as cohesiveness

It's sad they're desaturated too because they had such great colors! It's like the Greek one all over again. They were literally in Greece, beautiful azure blue water backdrops and we got sepia.

A great photographer can create masterful work without a professional model. I made a video about Richard Avedon and when you look at his photos he took of working class people in the 80s, they are breathtaking.
