Loved everything about this morning's workout: continuous movement, great music and tempo (danced through the walk segments), interval times, added stretch and your infectious smile/energy & the colors of your outfit coordinated with the flowers. Feel like I got A LOT in 24 minutes. Thank you for the shorter and longer workouts to choose from.
I’m on the start week three of following your videos - this has never happened before. I just love your gentle and calm manner, I can stick to the pace that you set and the time (generally 😅) flies by. Thank you so much for your dedication - you may just be the person that gets me to stick with it x
Oh wow, your comment has definitely planted a great big smile on my face and has made my evening, Libby! Congrats on week 3 and I look forward to seeing the weeks pile up as you continue:)
Yay! I am an intermediate. And I got there because of your coaching and the workouts you share via RU-vid.I love the pace of the music for the fast walk or jogging. I do jog and it helps to have a good fast beat as opposed to just following along with you. Thank you.❤🌈
I literally have saved every single one of your videos to my Exercise list! I do not do any others, just yours. I am 65, 5'7" and because I work at home (love it!) I do sit more and I went from 150lbs to 160lbs. I felt horrible and since it is not easy to lose weight at my age (I was always the skinniest kid in school) I really have to get up and move! I eat vegan, which really helps, I take really good care of myself, no junk food, no alcohol (lost the taste for good wine even) and just eat organic raw and cooked veggies and good healthy foods. I have been working out with a variety of your videos throughout my days, sometimes twice, sometimes three a day and viola' I am a mean 152.3lbs and my goal is 148lbs to feel by best! I actually could get in to my skinny jeans that I almost threw out! THANK YOU!! I love the Abba and Bee Gees music videos. And for those with knee issues like me, I found that instead of any knee bending, I substitute with putting my feet together and raising myself up and down on the balls of my feet keeping my back straight and head aligned looking straight ahead. I raise my arms out laterally and then up and clasp my hands above my head and repeat. I go fast and it burns furious calories. I am no medical professional so always consult your doctor or chiropractor but for me it works and does not put any pressure on my knees. LOVE YOU!!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you SO much for your comment, Yvonne. I am thrilled to read about your progress and I can feel the excitement through your words. A huge congrats for eating healthy and clean, and for making time to exercise throughout the day. The exercise you are doing sounds like an awesome calf workout (you must have built calves!).
@@ImprovedHealth I am sure my calves will firm up over time but with knee issues it is the only way around any deep knee bends. I go really fast doing that when you are jogging really fast in place! I even can swing my hips around like being on an exercise bike and standing up to peddle. Can't do the bikes with my knee issues but your exercises with my modification are doing the trick and I am dropping the weight! I loved the one video where your daughter came on for a few seconds. She is very pretty. I bet she gets a lot of exercise! Thanks for all of your variety and great music! My friends in High School dedicated "I Will Survive" to me because of all the jerks out there that we dated! 🙂 🙂
I just found your channel a few days ago with your seniors workout walking video from a while ago. My husband saw it and he said that's the lady that teaches us classes at the adult center! He goes several days a week, and they do the chair exercises from your channel. This was also an excellent workout!
Oh wow, thanks so much for sharing that with me. That definitely made me smile knowing the center uses my videos. Just so you know, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). If you liked this workout, you'll find more at this level under the intermediate level playlists. Welcome to my channel!
@@ImprovedHealth You're welcome! Some days I need gentle and some days I can do more. I have a lot of joint problems unfortunately. But I like the pace and all the choices you have! My husband has moderate dementia, and he can no longer play sports like he used to. He was so excited when he saw you on the video. He told me they exercised, but I thought they had somebody come in from the fitness center which is located close by. I will definitely be doing many of your videos from now on :-)
Thank you again! After all my decades of classes, I don’t need constant instructions. I really enjoy your energizing music and your occasional reminders about form are just right for me.
I tried something I've never done before - I worked out, first thing when I got out of bed. I have a long work day today and I knew it was now or never. And I did okay! I didn't get winded and loved the workout itself. I also liked the pace and the music. Thanks Jules!
Congrats for talking yourself into working out in the morning! Some people love it, while others definitely have a hard time with it (myself included). But, it does ensure it gets done and I find when I do work out in the morning, I want to work out again later in the day (because it feels like I haven't worked out, yet since it was HOURS ago). Double winner!
I'm 65 and just finished this workout. Loved it! Music, backdrop/room and the moves. Just what I was looking for. Can't wait to try the other ones you have available. Will definitely share and recommend. Thank you for putting these type of workouts together.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Anita. Welcome to my channel! Just so you know, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). If you liked this one, you'll find more like this one in the intermediate level playlists. I also upload them all to my website at www.improvedhealthforseniors.com. I hope you enjoy more of the workouts as you try them out:)
@@ImprovedHealth Thank you for the suggestions! I'm leader of a weight loss group in North Carolina (TOPs). Most of us are seniors with health issues (such as arthritis) and need to move. I've been looking for exercises that are doable to recommend. The above suggestions sound perfect. I suggested your channel to them this morning. I told them to subscribe so they will get notifications.
@@Anita-vg8mp Thank you SO much for recommending my channel, Anita. I definitely appreciate that. Just one last thing, in order to receive notifications, they also have to press the bell beside the subscribe button.
I can’t wait until I get over this bad head/chest cold I have I just love all your videos. Helping me gain strength and health one video at a time. Thank you
Good Monday Morning 🌄☕🌄 What an incredible way to get this day and week started! Love the intervals 🏃♀️ Fantastic session Jules 🎉 The time FLEW!! Have a great day and week ahead🌈 💕 🌈
Falling in love with interval training.. Its so good, really gets the heart pumping. Did this brilliant one today and its going to be a regular.. Huggge thanks❤
I totally agree. Intervals are great because you can push yourself at times, but then get a break, and then push hard again, etc. It makes it manageable.
Ironic, I was actually looking at a map of Greece last night since I'm contemplating going back there again for a trip next year. Still undecided, but Greece is on the top of my list of places to go.
I’ve used and saved quite a few of your workouts, but this going to be a favourite. I love your positive vibe and lack of yelling. I’m guessing these are aimed at women, but this boofhead guitar player from Australia loves them. Bless you.
Lol, I enjoyed your comment, Shane. My videos are really for anyone who might like them:) As long as you're exercising and enjoying them, then you're invited!
Mrs. S. Here😊 what an amazing workout! I can’t believe I was able to complete the entire workout! 🎉🎉 My injury from falling off the high ladder is improving daily! If I’m soar tomorrow I’ll do your walking video, it’s at a good pace, I usually do that one after P.T. Sessions. 😊 Thank you again!
Congrats for trying it, and completing it!!! I always like to make sure viewers are aware that fast walking can definitely be done instead of jogging or running.
What a great way to start the day! Was up early today as other half is having an operation today. This was a great distraction as well as a great workout. Really used myself during the intervals. Paused the video to do some weights and then came back for the stretches at the end. Feeling so energised. Thanks Jules.
Congrats on your awesome combo of workouts today! I love that the combo left you feeling energized. I hope your hubby is doing well after the operation.
Such a fun workout, Jules! One of my hips (the arthritis one) is still a little sore from hill climbing I did but I think this actually loosened it up! The music was perfect! Thank you!
Lots of stretching tonight will likely help your hip out, too. If you can lie on your back on the floor, or on your bed, then bring one leg over the other one, you'll get a nice stretch through the hip (I often do this stretch when my hips are tight).
Love these exercise videos. Fitness and shape definitely improved since I started doing them. Manageable for my slightly older age 😄. Such a great selection to choose from means I never get bored. Thank you
Just brilliant, Jules! Always love intervals, and this has great music and clear cues for when to change movements. Thank you yet again for all your hard work and dedication 😊
Didn't get to do this video yesterday but set out to do it today. I really enjoyed the video, yes I know, I don't like jogging but the time FLEW by. I loved the pace of the music as well because I think I concentrated on the beat and it caused me to stay in step. I even followed up with your core workout and treated myself to Tina Turner as the ending to my workout. Thanks Jules.
Woohoo! Look at you go! What a great combo of workouts, Carrie. Simply awesome. I love how the first workout energized you to want to do more. As for the music, I purposely created the playlist to make the beat go faster during the fast intervals so I am very glad to read that it helped.
Good morning Jules. I've been looking forward to a new interval workout, and this one was great. I loved the music, and it made me want to even jog faster during the intervals. I did this workout back to back this morning, and enjoyed every minute. Do you have a step count or a BPM. Thanks again. Have a wonderful day😊
I purposely created the playlist to have faster music during the fast intervals so I am glad to read that it helped! I didn't write the step count down because I know everyone will have a different step count due to people going at their own pace during the fast intervals (plus I had to restart while recording and then forgot to look at my step count before restarting again).
This is a great workout! I need the intervals, great way to push myself some. The stretches feel so good-I earned them! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
My first video with you! Loved the warmup and cooldown too, and I liked being able to do whatever I please during the intervals, which meant lots of hopping and kicking. Thank you! This is one to be repeated
Thanks and welcome to my channel! Just so you know, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). If you liked this one, hopefully you'll enjoy more in the intermediate level playlist.
Just restarting exercising after a holiday so started with a short routine today. Thank you for all the variety you offer, always something we can select to do. :-)
Intended to strength train, saw this, and it was just what today needed: speed! Between the upbeat music (emphasis on the strong beat) and the hot pink, you nailed the theme. Thank you for a fast, fun twenty minutes.
Loved this workout! Never felt out of breath or like I was dying, but challenging enough to get me good and sweaty. The fast walk intervals were so fun, I had to dance and swing my hips a bit to the music, lol.
Thanks Chris but I'm actually in Canada. We celebrated Canada Day on July 1st. One of these days I hope to be in the US on July 4th to be part of the celebrations:) I hope you had a great day celebrating with family.
I'm enjoying an 8-day getaway...and dang me, but the weather;s got me socked in. Good thing I brought along my workout duds and shoes...just in case! This is part of why I love Improved Health...it travels with me! So, nuts to the weather!
Phase 2 Day 9! :D Wow! I was ready for this tonight Jules and registered 2,400 extra steps! Such a good overall feeling of achievement and wellbeing! Thanks so much for everything you do to keep us healthy and happy! A 🎈
Intervals definitely have a great way of making us feel accomplished in a workout. I appreciate your kind words, Annette...I am happy to help when I can.❤️
@@partyballoonsnorwich2122 AMAZING!!! I am very touched by your comment, Annette. Thank you (but I still feel it's YOU that is getting yourself to workout every day...I'm just creating the videos but you're getting yourself to do the workout).
I LOVED this program.. It had everything. You did a great job with the HIIT routines. The intensity was just right too. I would have liked it a bit longer, but that is being a bit nitpicky. Great job. I will take your advice and use this video at least twice a week. Now, are you going to monetize all this? You could probably charge $20 per year to get access to a website that has a lot of filters for all your material such as filters for intensity, length, with weights, HIIT, arms, nutrition, types of music etc. I think you could be the next Leslie Sansone . Anyway, keep up the great work.
Hi! I have a website actually (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). I don't charge for any videos since people can find the same ones for free on YT. I do have my YT channel monetized so I do earn an income from most of the videos. I don't earn anything from the copyrighted music videos, though (70's, 80's and so on). Any income from those videos goes to the music companies that own the rights to the songs. I wouldn't be able to continue creating videos if I didn't earn an income (I took a one year LOA from my full-time job to build the website, learn about editing, etc., but I will be back at work full-time in two months).
