he didn't just declare himself; he called a meeting, gave a moving speech and then voted himself in. *"i AM the tenants' association"* honestly the entire plot of this episode is still one of my most favorite bits in that season
I'm sure that he sent emails to all the tenants and no one that was sane would've actually attended something like that. Normal people in normal situations don't want to be a part of tenant associations.
@@Beezlie727 Yeah and a tie would mean that the president stays in place. A vote of no-confidence fails without a majority. In fact, in some associations, it would require a supermajority to pass.
What's really crazy is how Leonard and Penny always get caught up in Sheldon's antics. Someone like Priya would've challenged the very election in the first place. They try to fight Sheldon in Sheldon territory, which is why it often fails lmao
@@ricksaburai Yes, but Priya has the skeleton in the closet that her parents don't know about, which came back to bite her, leading to her losing the war despite winning several battles.
3:12 - 3:43 😂😂😂 rip replay button... "Fiance" "ungrateful recipient of a battery" and "Next time I have a meeting in the shower, you're welcome to attend" ...Sheldon Knows how to lure Amy in...
Hithere, are you really surprised? BTW that's his replacement gavel. The original one warped in the "shower meeting". Gavel paid for by Penny's laundry fine, don't forget! 😂
@@Beezlie727 I mean it was next to the tablet that has the minutes from last month's meeting, and likely every other meeting. Where else would you expect him to put it?
I love this show even after 11 seasons. at some point I would swayed toward sheldon persuasive " shower scene". what fiancee wouldn't want to shower with their soon to be husband? lol
That was so funny when sheldon said "yes" very deep he said it calm like a mature god. Whilst Penny and Leonard were mad and infuriating that the pastrami truck has been moved. Penny and Leonard desperately want to mess with sheldon.
@@GosieKin He wouldn't. Nobody wants a friend who is acting truly childish, refuses to compromise, and doesn't understand that they can't get everything they want let alone can't accept any changes.
@@GosieKin Lmao he would. Easy to say no with clips like these, but then there are clips like when Sheldon saves Leonards life or when Penny needed money and he gave her his savings no questions asked. Sheldon is a pain in the butt 100%, but he also is very caring.
If he called a meeting for the whole apartment but they didnt show, then i think it's fair. Also, he takes these things seriously so it kept the building in order or atleast better order
Although if he was the only one to show then they probably didn't meet quorum. Associations like that usually have constitutions with rules about the minimum number of people that can attend for an official meeting, that motions need to be seconded by a person other than the mover, and that elections should be managed by a returning officer who is not running themselves. Also, if Amy didn't want to vote, she could have abstained and the motion would have passed. Although a special general meeting usually needs to be advertised in advance. Can you tell I love bureaucracy! 🤭😊 Goodness, I fell like Sheldon!
Everyone’s Kryptonite Sheldon: Lifestyle changes & his Mother’s religious hypocrisy Penny: being looked as the idiot and getting mixed up in her husband’s fantasy world. Leonard: harsh criticism from his mother and friends.
Notice the blanket on the couch. Same style blanket on the couch on Roseanne Show. Even before that, the same blanket on the couch in Dark Shadows which was a vampire soap opera in the 60s.
She does count as a tenant cause this is toward the end of the show, after Amy and Sheldon moved into Pennys apartment and penny moved in with leonard at sheldons apartment. So yes she is a tenant in this scene, and thus her vote counts. HOWEVER he should still be voted out because the acting president is not allowed to take part in the voting process, therefore, Sheldon should never have been able to vote himself into office, and his vote also wouldnt count. Plus, in the term of voting we see in this scene, Sheldon never casts a vote instead letting others vote. So its still Amys 1 versus Leonard and Pennys 2
@@AustinD_YT We can't assume this association operates like most. We don't know anything about the bylaws, but we can assume Sheldon drew them up & in his usual fashion, would've done so to best benefit himself.
Not Really 🤔 i say he’s more of an Anti villain - a person with heroic goals, personality traits or virtues who is ultimately considered as the villain. Their desired ends are mostly good, but their means of getting there range from evil to undesirable.
This has nothing to do with this episode but just want fans of the show thoughts on this. Does anyone think that Sheldon's and Amy's relationship contract was based on Albert Einstein's Marrage contract he had with his wife?
I have said it before but nobody in real life would be friends with Sheldon when most of the time he acts like this. In the early seasons it was funny but now its just odd how they put up with him and fear him yet always say how good of a guy he is. I have watched it from the start and it has changed so much and some of it not for the better.
No I would definitely be friends sheldon if I could he for sure is the best person of the group out of all the guys in the show he is the most normal and best looking plus it would it be so cool to be friends with somebody that smart
@@Historyandlegends789Not to mention he's a bully but "he's not crazy" even though his mother actually never followed up with the doctor and didn't get him checked
