Oh no, don't get me wrong, I love Johnlock x'D But... I'm not even sure what would be a better word to describe than "weird" at the moment... like... it's 'weird' to see all these Sherlock fandom people swooning over Johnlock and half the time, they don't even realise that Mary wasn't just some girl that Gatiss and Moffat made up to troll everyone. Mary Watson existed in Doyle's books and she existed in the movies staring Jude Law and RDJ. I applaud you for supporting gay rights. I do to! And I think it's rather silly for anyone to oppose it actually x'D But... I mean... there actually have been numerous times when the actresses from the BBCSherlock, like Amanda Abbington getting anonymous hate messages from members of the fandom because she was 'ruining' the johnlock. And... that's just not cool in my opinion. Not cool at all.

Watson is definitely cooler and more collected in this version, and I kind of like that. Of course he's always the awesomest of the awesome, but here you could just really see that.
I love John in this one. He murders a guy and he's so cool about, not to mention he's still making quips. Why didn't they bring this version of him into the series? He's still awesome but he could be even more awesome.
YES! Just what I was thinking. And I would be happier if sometimes they would have stopped making John look like a fool. Although there was an episode where he tried to solve a case on his own, I still wasn't satisfied. In the books, John eventually takes up a lot of Sherlock's deduction skills, proving that he's a very intelligent man. I missed that in the show:(

Sherlock feels so weird to me in this one, his look, his tone yet the dialogue is almost identical. Always amazes me how subtle differences in acting can completely change a scene and Ben and Martin are masters of it.

I like the way they cleverly addressed Watson's inconsistent description of his wound from Afghanistan. In the stories, it varied between his leg and his shoulder. Now we know why.
My reply pt. 2: Ok so in my comment, I acknowledge the fact that Sherlock would have dinner with John, but not Irene. He's offering John dinner in this clip, yet he's "not hungry" in the clip with Irene. So not only have I acknowledged the fact that he has a thing for John, but I've disproved he has a thing with Irene, even though I'm a shirene shipper. So what exactly did I miss, huh?
Sherlock looks SO stressed compared to the released episode. It's kind of worrying. Also we stan Greg for questioning where the shot came from instead of going to see of Sherlock was okay
Wonder where Mycroft was in this version? When John was about to learn he’s Sherlock’s brother? Also, Sherlock is such a young ray of sunshine in this version 😊
Elements of both versions would have been good. I'd keep a lot of the dialogue from the aired version, the scene with the shock blanket was much funnier, but have evil cabby working alone and taking Sherlock back to baker street.
Love John, Love Sherlock (in jeans...HAWT or WHAT??), Love the EVIL cabbie (for being just evil and not a paid puppet)....but the flat and the deductions were far cleverer and closer to character in the aired version, Sherlock is cooler and hotter (at the same time...it only possible when you're Sherlock), John is as awesome as he should be and all's well in the Johnlock universe.
I really like both aired and unaired! I think they should have combined the funny lines from the aired and the johnlock from unaired, then it would be perfect
I just learned that this was all we were ever supposed to see of Sherlock. One 60 minute show. The BBC loved it so much they asked Moffat & Gatiss to make 2 more 90 minute episodes. The remake of a Study in Pink was the third show they produced. I wondered why Sherlock looked younger in The Blind Banker. Now I know. BBC wanted everything more dressed up to fit with Cumberbatches posh speech & appearance. They thought anyone that good needs to look the part. Bye bye jeans. Hello suits & lush curls. The hair is a big win win & they went for the music & theme songs. .
This cabbie scene always seemed kinda like it was ripping off of Morganstern; in the Princess Bride, there's a scene with Westley and Vizzini that this bears a striking similarity to.
this is from the unaired pilot that they had to film again for some reason, the script was pretty much the same but they changed one or two things on the second go, this pilot was never aired :) hope that helps

wow, he had plastic surgery. It wasn't necessary, not at all. It was done by the time he did the episode that aired. He was & is gorgeous. Leave things as God intended Ben. Don't change a hair for us.
His hair just isn't the same in this....I'm really glad this isn't the episode they aired. The build up in the other one is soooo much better and I need the line "I'm in shock. Look, I have a blanket."

is this from pilot or is it an older version of the episode? because I remember the scene taking place in a college more dialogue and a different looking pill, it showed John after he shot the cabbie, and the police didn't show until later. I'm confused
