If you watched my last video, "Tiny Stool For A Tiny Butt", you will know I needed a new bandsaw. So I went out and got one. Then I did an unboxing because that's what one does on RU-vid, right?

Hello my friend, Good choice. It's a good machine. This band saw will come in handy. After the last video it became a necessity. Thank you for the introduction and information. Best wishes. See you in new content. I wish you have a nice weekend. Greetings. (I'm lucky to be the first to watch and like :-) )

Hi Phil. I love the trammel circle cutting attachment. Get the mobile base too, very handy.

Thanks! I’ll actually most likely build a small cabinet to replace the legs and store bandsaw related stuff with the unit.

That’s ok. It’s all good if it ran all the way through. ;)

Jezuz Jake you've let yourself go a bit there... but the beard does look awesome. I thought I'd seen the Rig Rundown of this already but worth a second peek.

I thought a different viewpoint on this unit might be called for...

Handy machine, no doubt about it. Frame looks beefy for 12 inch 👍🏻 Where did you get that apron from?

Getting this one rather than the 10 inch Sherwood. Only a couple hundred $$ more buttons much better and usable. That for the vid mate

The 2 minor annoyances you mentioned, would both be a deal breaker for me, having said that there is some cool features on that model that are not on my 14in plus that would have been nice if they had of included them

The aluminium top and the blade through the front?
@rolandarnold353

are you making any videos changing the blade or using the circle jig

Hadn’t planned on it, but certainly could. Maybe in some shorts in the future.

Bugger I was going to ask if it was a cast-iron top for the feather boards. The blade thing I can deal with by just buying one of those blades advertised on TV that never break or need sharpening - they cut through frozen cans of food and shoes too... #124

10” HD Sherwood is a proper beast.

@@graduallywizardly Yeah don't think I'll up to spending that much just yet. Don't want a hammerbarn one (well maybe the Roar thing) so these look good.

@@graduallywizardlyhi Phil, I have quite a few 7 cms thick red gum sleepers to rip through, would you recommend the 10” HD Sherwood bandsaw for the job? TY
@graduallywizardly
@graduallywizardly 11 месяцев назад
@@tristannguyen8603 no. That unit only has a 1hp motor. Check out the Sherwood 14” deep rip unit. Chuck a fat blade with hardly any teeth on it and it would be ideal for what you’re up to.
