It was not a robbery. It was extremely close & could have gone either way. I am a big Valentina fan but She overreacted. This is what happens when a fight is that CLOSE.
@@danleon3143 I agree. MMA Scoring system is to blame for that is not nowhere perfect so that's why fights like these mostly go to splits & losing fighter is left complaining.
Amanda won. Amanda took her take down twice and her Knee is BLEEDING and connecting with those LEG KICKS. Valentine Jabs not strong she has a DAMAGE. Amanda NO DAMAGE. Valentine Robbed TAILA issue
No doubt. Amanda is certainly in the conversation, but this loss to JP really took some wind out of those sails. Amanda certainly punches like a dude and you can definitely say that she edged out the Bullet in their first meeting, but the judges got the second fight wrong. Very wrong.
The size difference is crazy when you look at the post fight interview. And to think that she still clearly won the 2nd fight. Laughing in her face like it's nothing. THE GOAT.....THE REAL GOAT
@@jamesprez7296 Body of fucking work, resume is key and longgeviy... Even though Juliana Pena beat an untrained unacclaimated Amanda Nunes who clearly didn't take her opponent serious it doesn't take away the body of work that Amanda Nunes has accomplished... And don't forget rather you agree or not, Valentina Shevchenko is still currently 0-2 against Amanda Nunes...
@@claydogmadman6295 An untrained, unacclaimated?? Not bad. So do you consider losses or we just skip them? Let's say we give you your 2 wins on THE GOAT...THE REAL GOAT even tho we all know what happened their second fight. Do we consider the FACT that your ''GOAT'' outweighs THE REAL GOAT by 25lbs at least in real life or and still had 2 very close fights or nevermind? Or should we consider the 5 losses with 4 of them being stopped? Let me know, still trying to figure out how this works.
@@jamesprez7296 Amanda haven't fought at 135 pounds in two whole full years years since beating GDR in 2019... Now surely you know Amanda has been enjoying the 145 pound weight class for the pass two years as she totally neglected the Bantamweight division, Juliana however has been maintaining her weight around 135 training through two fight camps prior to fighting Amanda... Juliana totally had the physical edge at 135 going into that fight against Amanda, Amanda wasn't probably acclimated at 135 that's why she depleted think about it, she got tired in the first round trading with Juliana... Amanda traded with Cyborg and came out like a boss, it's all about proper preparation and Amanda wasn't prepared probably after a two year layoff... Now I'll let you respond to the part as l address your other hypocrisy in segments... Stand by...
@@isakdahl7875 Amanda was fighting like she normally does in the 1st. Damn straight she won that round. But second round Pena was in Nunes's face brawling and Amanda was like She can't take my punches & she is going down that she can't stand & bang with me BUT Pena didn't go down. It caused Amanda to get tired because she was trying to knock her out, throwing with power no defence & rest is history. Sure Pena worked on her counter striking against Nunes alot prior & she knew if she makes Nunes fight dirty, like a brawl, she can get her tired at that pace because That's what used to happen with Nunes early in her career. She got it done & managed to not get knocked out in the process. No way it was a domination, you are right but Pena deserves all the credit for making Nunes fighting her ego. I just hope Nunes would stay within herself & won't brawl recklessly in the rematch. If she fights normally, She is more likely to win. Just off topic : I have noticed that People have short term memory. After Nunes's last figh. They so easily forgot that how GOOD Nunes is. She is a very very good fighter. She definitely is levels above Pena. I am rooting for her in the rematch.
@@rubal1648 Amanda barely won round 1 though and wasn’t looking quite like herself entering round 2. Maybe I have to go back and watch but only landing 5 more significant strikes and seemingly gassed already.
Homeboy heard Joe Rogan saying she’s the best martial artist in the game. So he thinks this as well. Remember how Joe said Ronda was the goat and could beat up men lol
Would love to see the rematch . The 🐐 vs the new champ . I think Pena has improved since this fight but come on its the 🐐. Its still one of the most competitive fights for Val .
I just love this girl, Valentina is badass and I love how she got under Amanda's skin lmfao Joanna Pena is pretty badass too, I like seeing great fighters remain humble I think being and staying humble is key to remaining champion
Can see the age in this compilation, but I didn't realise it was that long ago when they changed actual weigh in to earlier in the day. I was fully expecting to see them actually be on weight in the ceremonials. Time flies.
Valentina is all technique unlike nunes who is more power and relies on her size more Val would never put her self in a bad spot like Amanda did she wouldn’t get into a fire fight like that
Ok and?? Valentina didn't do enough to win the belt she fought like she was in a boxing fight she lost she did not get robbed she needs to get over herself
Valentina is already the p4p goat of women’s mma. I imagine she’d be denoted as the goat if she went up and bear Julianna again for the strap. Just look at her wins. Holly Holm, former champ, dethroned Rousey, 145lbs title contender. Julianna Peña, champ. Joanna Jedrzejczyk, former champ, one of the longest title defence streaks in womens mma. Jessica Andrade, former champ. Every single fight in her natural weight class she has dominated by outperforming her opponent in their area pf specialisation and with one more win she has set the record for most consecutive title defences in womens mma. If she were to beat Peña, she will be a champ champ who has recorded wins against opponents who have fought across every single weight division in the UFC and champions across 3. She also fought Nunes to a split decision that many believe she won while at a ~25lbs weight disadvantage. There would be no conversation imo.
Valentina is way the best female fighter in the world. Pena though a really good fighter doesn't even come close. She's ordinary by comparison and if there's ever a rematch she loses it badly against both Shevchenko and Nunes in my opinion. I have no idea what was up with Nunes when she lost the title to Pena, but I'm thinking it won't ever happen again.
Pound per pound Shevchenko is the best fighter ever in MMA. Rousey was a one trick Pony, cyborg was dirty. Nunez probably a close second. But no mention of Rose or Meisha. Both of them were good enough to have made this list.
I think Valentina wanted to fight on the ground, Amanda and Sarah Kaufmann also talked her down. It looks like Valentina wanted to prove against someone like Julianna that she able to hold her own on the ground. Expecialy since Pena is natural a lot bigger and stronger.
I keep coming back to this after Pena said her and Nunes are the 2 best women and forgot the woman who finished her and also beat Nunes in at least the 2nd fight but was robbed.
The biggest mistake any fighter can make, is to under under estimate one’s opponent, especially Valentina, anyways, the size difference between the bullet and the lion was very noticeable, which I’m pretty sure Valentina, as all great fighters, will use to her advantage, anyways, the fight between These two great fighters will be the fight of the century in WMMA….
The Bullet doesn't gain weight after the Weigh In unlike Pena AND Nunes. They add on about 15lbs. and for Female Fighters that's a lot. When Valentina fought Nunes she was easily outweighed by about 20lbs. Nunes couldn't finish Pena but Shevchenko submitted her at her own game.
