I have been telling myself that this was going to be like the Superbowl for all of us.....but I've barely watched it because she's repulsive? Idk. I've known. people like her and Jorge and they're both just as bad as each other. Life is precious and there are people in the world, like Sarah Boone and Jorge, that are a drain on society and not deserving of life at a certain point. Her CHILD must be so f**ked up over this. And if he doesn't have the right support system or the genetics he's going to end up the same way. And it won't be his fault really.
They were BOTH MEAN DRUNKS. She didnt hsve a job, slept all day, feel sorry for her kid. Where sre yhe pics of what she did to Jorge? Why isnt her DV arrests being brought up. SHE HAS THEM TOO. again BOTH DRUNKS
Yes. It was always going to end up with one of them either dead or incarcerated. I think this is just the way the cards fell. Absolutely not justifying her actions. I do think she was obviously so drunk that she genuinely couldn't recall making the video. Overall, it's just very sad that broken people gravitate to each other and live like this. At the end of the day though, one of them isn't here anymore and that has to be answered for.
If you LOVE somebody and they tell you I CANNOT BREATHE....Then you go upstairs and go to SLEEP while the person DIES!! How do you expect a jury to NOT find you GUILTY?

He actually told a police officer, she comes at me all the time. What else should I do? He was advised he needed lay charges, but never did. That is actually a problem in all dvd relations.
It's funny how she's saying he was so wasted "...it's hard to describe how drunk he was". AND YET. She was the only one slurring words in the recorded video. Jorge was speaking VERY, VERY CLEARLY with zero slurring whatsoever. Too many holes in the story, Suitcase Sarah.
Not to argue but considering he had been in the suitcase asked to get out and she didn’t let him he probably panicked. Which would have resulted in him getting lightheaded as he breathed in and out with no air. Easily that AND the alcohol could cause slurring.
I do believe these two used to beat each other all the time … she ended up killing him though… she’s going to spend the rest of her life in prison, I hope. She should have found a way to be on her own and raise her son with her ex in a healthy fashion.
I believe both were alcoholics who were abusive to each other. I believe she kept him in the suitcase out of revenge for past violence, as a result he died. I don’t believe she thought he would die in there, but this is the result of her actions.
Maybe if she didn’t lie about how often she drank, they believe the rest of her lies, but she clearly lies about those things and then who’s gonna believe the rest
She is constantly minimizing how much and how often she drank. Her attorney has to keep saying "You were drinking too, weren't you?". He needs to establish that she regularly drank too much in order to later sell the story that she got drunk, passed out and forgot Jorge was still in the suitcase.

she admitted she lied to the police before about a fake play fight that resulted in a stab that she made up and is expecting the jury to believe they were having a play fight in a suitcase after that but this time it was not a lie
They obviously think this adds credibility to the reason why she lied but it doesn’t. It falls flat like a house of cards. As a side note: something about the way she struggles to explain that story stumbling over words because she misses out pronouns at times- leads me to believe that she is telling that story from a reversed perspective and that “stab”wound was so perfectly in line with her leg and LONG far longer than the tallest edge of the blade of a steak knife. It’s not a stab- it’s a cut. A precision cut.
IKR? Why does she use her time on the stand that she will lie about childishly playing around and someone getting hurt, to keep someone out of trouble?
This is exactly what I was thinking when she was telling this part. If I was on the jury, I would immediately think that she got the cover up story idea for the hide and seek night from that one, and that this testimony hurt her case rather than helping it.
Giving me a frigging break. Her drinking was a huge issue before she ever met Jorge and suddenly Jorge is the problem drinker and she is the sane and sober one? I bet had she not killed him Jorge would never have murdered anyone .

That's not true that when you're scared of someone you run every chance you get. Regardless of whether or not Boone was a victim of domestic violence, and that aside for a moment, In genuine domestic violence cases the victim often and frequently freezes and fawns from fear. Just because you don't run doesn't mean mean you're not scared and don't want to. The fact of the matter is that you truly CAN'T for various reasons.

Those marks look like they were left by his gripping her probably to hold her down from attacking him. Her ex said she got violent every time she got drunk.
Not only that...but she's already testified that Jorge was NOT violent at all on THIS PARTICULAR evening. So the marks ain't too relevant, are they. Suitcase Sarah is goin down.
I got bruises on my arm like that the time I feel off my roof and my arm hurt my fence on the way down. And another time when a lady backed her golf cart into me.

Her defense has to create a story that sounds like she was in fear for her life but at the time that she put him in the suitcase they were supposedly playing so how is that in fear of her life? When she told the investigators they were having a nice day having fun and she accidentally fell asleep with him in the suitcase. So which one is it, Sarah? Which story is true?
And how many of these were defensive? I've seen many times where someone will attack their spouse, and then only take pictures of their defensive wounds/ marks for later.
She has few facial expressions and I read her as smug and unemotional. She is not appealing to the jury for compassion, and seems so matter-of-fact about the suitcase game. No remorse. No sadness on his death. Very odd. Sadist?

She could have just kicked him out. Brian was paying all her bills with his alimony money and Jorge was sponging off her once he lost his job. All she had to do was kick him out. She could have gotten a job as an occupational therapist or something but she chose not to work and to day drink.

It's amazing knowing how she says he gets while drinking alcohol, but yet she still drinks alcohol with him. I don't think she is a victim after continually staying and drinking with him

Jorge taking her keys probably saved countless lives from her drunk driving. Also, if she wanted to leave and her ex husband came, why didn’t she get in the car with him and leave then?
I'm guessing the most appealing thing in Jorges bed was the steak dinner. When she said she was going to cut up his steak for him he probably said no so she stabbed herself in the leg to "teach him a lesson" about telling her no.
@CDz-bk9qi she herself. Those are classic bruises from falling when being drunk. They also often look like that when they attack someone and the other person grabs their arms to restrain them.

Definitely NOT an expert, but wouldn’t a battered partner be hyper vigilant about any and every thing they say or do in the presence of their ab*ser, so as not to trigger their rage? I really hope this jury is seeing through this woman’s lies and manipulation.

This was not life or death. There was not imminent danger. HE was in a suitcase. A reasonable person “If” she was so afraid ( he wasn’t in a position to “harm her” ) she had every opportunity at that moment to leave, to call someone, call the police, to get away. HE could not chase her, harm her, or stop her.
so, let's say this battered woman theory was actually valid and they we're playing hide and seek (ya know because that's what any pair of unemployed adults in their 40s with children from other relationships should be doing to make the most out of their time) she could've utilized her hiding or Jorge seeking or vice versa to get away and call for law enforcement. The entire hide and seek excuse makes zero sense because YOU don't help the person hide that you're trying to find. I feel like she may have used a different tactic to get him in, not that it matters
She is terrible witness shr keeps blaming deceased , HE is drinking, HE is violent. She doesn’t want to admit she was same sloppy drunk and even her lawyer tried to mention it knowing how terrible it sounds

It's unfortunate that she is so unlikeable and unrelatable because it's not going to help her case... They were both toxic addicts that had no idea how to love. Someone was bound to be killed by the other. 😞
She knew better than to say that Jorge threatened her son. Jorge was the only one who gave him any attention when Sarah had visitation. Her son would say it didn't happen AND SHE put her SON in the suitcase she ended Jorge in and DCF got involved(she doesn't want the jury hearing about that little faux pas). She was the violent one. Brian divorced her because of it. Jorge never had a domestic violence case until he met Sarah. I'm not saying Jorge was perfect(he should have left crazy a long time ago) but Sarah is delusional and dangerous and in the end it cost her the relationship of her son.
