I think I'm finally starting to get what John Piper is always trying to show. He's always saying, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him," which is him saying, "God is most glorified in us when [He is the bottom of our joy.]"

I had those questions in mind when I first became a believer, and every time I tried to word it or see how I could explain it to someone, it always seemed complicated and just crazy. Love how he did it. Wonderful! Everyone should watch this. Very important. Yes God treats us as princes and princesses, but we need to remember and live to serve and please him. BE VESSELS OF HONOR. 'lead us through the path of righteousness of his name's sake'. If you claim to be of him, Represent him well and at all times!

I think it's normal to have an aversion to being sent to hell. Jesus spoke to this when he said "if one of your limbs causes you to sin, cut it off. it is better for you to lose a limb from your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell". He acknowledged that yes, _people do not want to go to hell_. My personal experience is: it's taken me a while to realize the *finality* of God's grace towards me. I will never be condemned, because my faith is in God's son Jesus. Now what? My true colors come out. Now I am free to either love God or love myself. My actions will reveal my heart. And Jesus said, "love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; that is the greatest commandment".

At 4:55 to 10:00, he talks about what's at "the bottom of your joy". I've been struggling with my own motives in seeking a wife. Is is the end-all goal for my life? It shouldn't be, but that's often my mindset.

Where this event was held? it's like the place where Joyce Meyer usually preach. I'm glad this message was heard by so many people in that building. May holy spirit keep remind us of this precious words. Awesome....

Entao, fugindo de uma forma desesperada, deparou-se com o grande mar mas a uma profundidade de uns cem metros, pois estava no topo de uma rocha muito alta. aquela rocha partiu-se debaixo de seus pes e, enquanto caia nas aguas agitadas. Essa pessoa pensava.... Vou esborrachar-me la em baixo. Mas o que aconteceu foi que a rocha o protegeu e permaneceu sustentando-o. Ao chegar na agua agitada veio-lhe outro pensamento vou afundar-me nesse mar pois as ondas eram gigantes e perigosasamente agitadas. Para surpresa desta pessoa aquele pedaco de rocha continuou suportando-o e emergiu das ondas bravias protegendo-o sempre. A rocha nao afundou-se, nem deixou a pessoa que se protegia afundar-se nem tampouco as aguas lhe afetaram mas com grande forca, a rocha guiou-se na correnteza ate salvar a pessoa que buscava esconderijo. Isso , talvez, exemplifica o que John Piper disse quando Jesus Cristo, deve estar situado em um lugar onde dEle se origina toda fonte de salvacao, de contentamento, de prazer e alegria! Not so keen on the summary underneath though. No believers are constantly living for the glory of God. We are all missing the mark although we have Him at the bottom. The word 'most' seems to be implying that some people are successes?

Near the beginning of the sermon, Piper says that he thinks that there are millions of nominal Christian's whose foundation of joy is self. When I think of nominal Christian, I think of the typical "C & E" Christian that comes to church on Christmas and Easter. But I think it is much worse than that. It seems to me that about half or more of outwardly committed Christians are also standing on that foundation. When I say committed Christians, I mean those who consistently go to Evangelical, bible-believing church and even participate in ministry. That's just what I see in the spirit. I hope I'm just being overly pessimistic, or somehow missing something. I think there are even many pastors that have this foundation. I think they tend to talk a lot about community and having a support network, and psychology. They seem to want to use human wisdom to figure out why we are not happy, and make us happy, and then somehow throw Jesus into the mix. They don't talk about sin very much.

It's constantly disheartening when those who should either because of the position, or certainly after years and decades of experience to get better... That a topic isn't so easily clarified. But instead is So many words to still not say it simply. Paul spoke of this tendency too, using many words or eloquence rather than just simple as most people to understand what is taught. Here it simplified: When God says or "makes much" of man, that is not the cue for men to repeat that and worship the notion or Self. When He makes much, it's not Him worshiping man. Let Him make much of you, while in return you make much of Him for doing so when you know you're so unworthy for Him to do so and so inherently unholy wicked sinful beneath Him. This is what Cultural/Nominal Christians do, boasting and living in the notion they're so God special, worthy to be Saved, "child of the King should be living and treated like a prince." So not humble and instead arrogant. And there's without debate, a certain ethnicity that does this heavily and with theatrics. Very sad. "The First shall be Last and Last shall be First"

John Pipers Reformed Theology IS BLASPHEMY because it impugns and assaults the good, just and merciful nature and character of the GOD of the Bible. Heresy is defined as any belief or theory that is strongly at variance with established beliefs or customs, in particular the accepted beliefs of a church or religious organization. Whereas, Blasphemy is an insult that shows contempt, disrespect, or lack of reverence concerning a deity, a sacred object, or something considered inviolable. . God plainly says. "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” That is the character he has revealed in Scripture. God is making it clear that He doesn't have to have mercy on any one but He has decided to have mercy on the whole human race and have compassion on the whole human race. God again reinforces this fact in 1 Timothy 2 : 3-6 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. Those that don't see this, can't see this, because they have blinded themselves and will not see. There isn't one thing attractive about the Calvinist god. Hate, destruction, false salvation by lottery, pleasure in creating and forcing sin on the World. Read this quote from John Pipers writings and decide for your self who you think he is working for! God or Satan! ... " God . . . brings about all things in accordance with his will. In other words, it isn’t just that God manages to turn the evil aspects of our world to good for those who love him; it is rather that he himself brings about these evil aspects for his glory (see Ex. 9:13-16; John 9:3) and his people’s good (see Heb. 12:3-11; James 1:2-4). This includes-as incredible and as unacceptable as it may currently seem-God’s having even brought about the Nazis’ brutality at Birkenau and Auschwitz as well as the terrible killings of Dennis Rader and even the sexual abuse of a young child .
