What holidays should Christians recognize? Are there holidays Christians should not celebrate? If so, what holidays are Christians allowed to celebrate?

This was a beautifully eloquent and scripturally sound answer, thank you guys so much for your ministry! I think folks on both sides of this argument take either perspective a bit too far at times. Those falling in the “no holidays at all” camp tend to lapse into legalism and judgement very often. Yet folks in the “we can celebrate any holiday regardless of origin” camp should use discernment and try to be mindful of the obvious contradiction with Christian beliefs that some holidays have (Halloween, for example). Either way though, we should be using the Holy Spirit for discernment and always seeking to glorify the Lord through it all! ✝️🙏🏽

there are religious holidays (HOLYdays) and civil holidays days that the nation or local jurisdiction deems important to me, observing a civic holiday is neither here nor there no spiritual implications whatsoever unless its anti Christ like pride month or something whatever is done in faith is good we each stand before Christ on our own if our conscience approves or disapproves, the holy spirit guides us

If we want our worship to GOD to be acceptable, we must avoid holiday celebrations that are based on unscriptural teachings and have pagan origins. God warned his worshippers: “Separate yourselves and quit touching the unclean thing.” (2 Corinthians 6:17) Jesus said of his true followers: “They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.” (John 17:16) The only event that the Scriptures command Christians to observe is the Lord’s Evening Meal. “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19)

I used to celebrate them blindly because they were “the traditions of men” family celebrations all passed down. But what does the Bible say about celebrating like the world ? And as I started really looking into what I was even celebrating I dug deep and saw the roots based in satanic rituals and teachings. It takes an open mind, and a willingness to want to obey God. I didn’t know until I researched for myself.

I think it’s okay for us Christians to celebrate and enjoy holidays. Especially one’s like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I kinda understand why Halloween is not celebrated by some Christians, but I don’t seem anything with modern Halloween. Now if is was the Halloween the Druids celebrated then I wouldn’t.

I’m glad I don’t have to celebrate holidays , I find them odd and worldly , almost meaningless unless they are the Jewish holidays set forth by God himself. The rest is consumerism, and fake and I don’t like them 😅

@@beauty4ashez87 yeah Easter is just Passover sadly our culture has changed the holiday because they have become less and less Christian. It’s kinda like how satanic worshippers use the cross, just upside down. The cross is still a Christian symbol but our culture is seeing it less and less that way.

There's nothing wrong at all for Christians to celebrate any of the holidays, if they choose to do so. Many of the holidays we currently celebrate are rooted in Christianity, not paganism (contrary to what so many in the church falsely believe).

0:58 the new covenant did not abolish the law, in fact the new covenant wrote the law on our hearts (Eze 36:26-27, Heb 10:16-25). Fulfill does not mean abolish. Fulfil does not mean erase. Fulfil means he kept the law perfectly (he is a standard for us to follow) and he fulfilled the prophecies in it.
@deanfry879
@deanfry879 Месяц назад
Jesus fullfilled the law so we could have something better than the law (Matthew 12:5-6).
@beakfish7319
@beakfish7319 Месяц назад
Why would you put yourself back under the law when you have the option to live under grace?? Live under the law, die under the law. But he who has the Son has life. He who does not have the Son does not have life. Thats what its about now, accepting who Jesus is and what He did for you. I feel like you know who He is but dont fully understand what exactly He did for you. If we were capable of living a perfect life like Him, He wouldn't have had to come and die for us. We had the law and the prophets, so if it was about law keeping, He wouldn't have had to sacrifice Himself for our sins. The debt of your sin is paid the second you believe. Every sin you've ever committed and ever will commit was paid for in the past. He did what we can not do. We are saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves, it is a GIFT of God so that no man can boast of his good deeds. Works wont get you into heaven, only faith in Christ.

As a Christian, I wholeheartedly embrace the celebration of each holiday and revel in the richness of our traditions, including the honouring of all the saints. Yet, when confronted with perspectives that equate modern advancements, such as electricity, with the devil or view human inventions as inherently sinful, I am compelled to advocate for a more enlightened approach. We do not dwell in the medieval era; rather, we live in a time of progress and innovation. Let us embrace the wonders of God’s creation, acknowledging that Christianity is about liberation, not restriction. It is a faith that encourages us to embrace the beauty and diversity of the world, celebrating our freedom to explore, create, and appreciate the blessings that surround us.

0:35 they are not called "Jewish" feast days....they are GOD's appointed times, MY feast days Lev 23:2

2:54 These are regarding fasting days in Rom 14:1-6 which is why you stopped quoting at 6a and didn't include 6b! Just like in the Didache 8:1-2 "pretzel day" fell within God's appointed observance of unleavened bread this year.....so in direct opposition of what God commands for that day last week
@deanfry879
@deanfry879 Месяц назад
So eat unleavened pretzels. What was quoted of Romans 14:6 was sufficient to invoke the rest. And what is the different to Paul's point?

If you want to celebrate the Jewish holidays, go for it. But as Christians, we are not required to do so. Nor should we judge anyone for doing it or not.
