In this episode, I am riding from Managua, to Isla de Ometepe in Nicaragua. But not before I get a feel of the water inside Laguna de Apoyo and ride through the centre of the colonial town of Granada. The ferry crossing to the volcanic island of Ometepe however, turns out to be a little rougher than I anticipated...

Noraly... hopefully you read this. I live in British Columbia. You'll probably be going through here eventually on your way to Alaska. Canada has fairly tight restrictions on drone flying so you may want to apply ahead of time for permission to do so. British Columbia is a very beautiful Province so drone footage would be super!! You may even want to contact tourism to help get a permit as it will no doubt promote the Province with your high viewer count. Also I've mentioned before to perhaps take the Stuart Cassiar highway as it's very remote and beautiful. Also going that way, with a short side trip, you would get to enter the "pan-handle at Hyder Alaska". You would even get an opportunity to see Glaciers there. All the best to you and thanks for sharing your journey...

Perfectly stated. I've told friends, "if you want to ride to Alaska to say you've done it, I get it. But if you want to ride great roads and meet great folks along the way, just stay in B.C. Cassiar Highway is fabulous.. Wanted to camp at a site named "rabid Grizzly" camp site... but no, decided to go a bit further down the road. Might try to get the officials to rename that place.

Noraly, you are a Master Navigator! I realize you use GPS, but to follow the correct trails through the Outback is nothing short of miraculous! The imploded volcano is a new phenomenon to me. And, the city of Granada is very beautiful and seemed very peaceful as you traveled through it. You boat travels never get easier. The rough waters always make an amazing adventure. What have you done with all the documents that you continuously accumulate? You must have a tremendous library if you have somehow managed to retain all of the paperwork! And she once again hits a first time for everything moment...riding on an airport runway. Was Alaska saying “come on planes! Wanna race?? Lol. What a wild boat ride. Hope you didn’t get seasick after just eating and the waves. Great adventure once again. Finding the lagoon, people free, is an added bonus! Great video Noraly!

There is at least one more place where you have to cross a runway. It's at La Linea, the border between Spain and Gibraltar.

@@kareem8533 When I lived near Heathrow airport in the UK back in the 1970s one of the main roads crossed a runway. They had barriers and traffic lights like with railway level crossings. Not sure if that's still the case.

It is remarkable how she's able to complete her journey on time everytime in spite of not being able to tell the way where to go in new environments(where the GPS is not helping). The way she heads to her location via the backroads with enthusiasm while knowing she may not reach where she wanted to is really what actual adventure looks like.

It's remarkable, yes. Two things: (1) experience and preparation like browsing the web to see who has been there before, and (2) she uses a combination of a special GPS navigation from Garmin for motorcycles that has reasonably detailed "back-road" or off-road detail, paired with her smartphone. I'd say that the enthusiasm is her personality and, yes, she got into unexpected situations. Like getting stuck with her then bike's burnt clutch plates on a mud road in Iran. Being a woman is a big advantage as she is not perceived intuitively as a potential threat - something that men always have working against them.

Send her an email through her web site cause I bet she goes through the states that way. You know she loves mountains and back roads. She will love the BLM land out west.

Good morning N. Happy to hear in the last Episode that you're back in shape technically. Hey N, please don't forget to light a candle for my beloved late wife 😢❤️‍🩹 in the next church you go to, unless you already did from some of my previous comments. Thanks a million. Season 6 is one of the best of all season and it looks like you're getting more "seasoned" as the Seasons go by, compared to Season 1 when you were a Newbie. Wow! What a tremendous improvement all around. Wouldn't miss these adventures for a second. I've learned soooo much and enjoyed every moment. Take care and ride safe. 🖖🏼🤟🏼
