When it comes to the agencies and the seminaries, the entire boards need to be removed. That's not going to happen. When you have females serving on boards, even as chair, of seminaries training pastors, that's a fundamental problem. SBC is long gone.
@conceptualclarity 30 years ago, during the height of the resurgence they were doing it. Even when I was at Southeastern, the first time, Dr Patterson answered to women on the board. Then, when I came back in the teens to get my doctoral degree, a woman signed it. She was chair of the board.
@@JamesRiddle_Christ_is_King the blunt truth is that even the Conservative Resurgence Baptists didn't have the guts to preach the Bible on gender. The Bible doesn't say that women have the right to do everything except pastor and preach on Sunday morning. The Bible says it's a shame for women to speak in church because they are to be subordinate in the church which clearly suggests that women should not be on denominational boards and should not be in positions of authority in pastor-training institutions.
