Just my two cents: Keep your spirits up man. The mental side can make a huge difference. I watch all your rounds and it seems like 80% of the shots will have a negative comment even when they're good (though your standards are rightfully much higher than mine), and you'll shoot 6 under. Just keep your chin up man. Have fun. I do get some no-reads with the Lite but not that often luckily. I hope this comment doesn't sound rude. Love your channel and don't intend that at all. But staying positive and just having fun will help a lot when that does happen. Have a good weekend!
Also I use a black tee that comes under my hitting strip and stays there when I hit. Something like that would probably help keep your device from reading the tee instead of the ball.

My 2 cents… OK, maybe a pocket full of change! 🤣 If I may. Of course, positive thinking is a must if anyone wants to perform at their best. I would say though, that Joe has actually a great attitude and I personally love to see the raw emotions! 🤣 I much prefer that over him “censoring” himself and projecting a false sense of control. Let’s not forget that he’s in partly (mainly) making these videos to entertain and if he were to play like a robot (like some PGA Tour guys…) I would pass on those videos 😉. Now, where do these emotions come from? They come from our or Joe’s beliefs… (not the no read/misread, the missed 4 footer for birdie or the 30 yard pitch that goes 40 ! 😉 No, they’re born from us/Joe believing that after spending a lifetime practicing, working on our game. Investing so much of ourselves into training right now, eating right and doing everything we could to improve… we still “fudge up”!! 😂 I mean, you hit a perfect drive to 60 yards of the green, you have hit 1000 60 yard shots in your life and then you hit it 75 and feel like you’ve squandered a chance but not just a chance, because that’s not that bad, no, you feel like all those hours spent making adjustments to your technique, have been wasted… You correct me but that’s what is actually beneath the emotions. That is why you saw Rory miss short putts to lose major championships. And the worst is that every time, there is just that much more “baggage” you carry and it makes it even more difficult! To change your emotions, you have to change your beliefs… I think the first step could be to understand that all those hours of practice were their own gift, that their worth does not depend on any future performance! I recently saw a video of Roger Federer giving a lecture where he mentioned that during his career, he won 80% of his matches! But… if you tally up the actual individual points, he only won 54% of them!! He goes on saying that when you understand that, it helps you let go of the mistakes; you make a double fault, it’s just a point, you miss a short volley, it’s just a point, you passed at the net, it’s just A POINT… The greatest ball striker of all time, Moe Norman (fellow Canadian😊) when he missed a shot, would repeat, “it only counts 1, it only counts 1”… I’ll finish with an anecdote from a round I played yesterday. I bomb a drive down the middle of this par 5. As I’m still out of reach and because there is a pound near the green, I elect to hit 7 iron to leave myself around the 100 yard marker. I miss hit it a little and when I got to it, it was just a foot off the fairway into the rough (frustration level code yellow …).Because the rough was dense and sticky, I aimed to the right, anticipating that it would grab and shut the face… I swung and even though I had aimed right, it flew left and winded up just left of the green (frustration level code orange )… I was now about 20 yards from the pin, in the rough but had plenty of green to work with. I took my SW and again, the grabbed more then I expected and I left my pitch 10 feet short (frustration level code red!) and now, using expletives… I expressed to my fellow players what a terrible situation this was turning into and how my “cowardliness” back in the fairway had turned a birdie opportunity into a potential bogey! There was some more seasonning in my choice of words… I marked my ball, still fuming but then I turned to them and said, OK, let’s pretend that this is for an eagle… I took the time to read the putt, go through my normal routine and firmly rolled it in!… The guys were impressed by how I was able to change mindset in matters of seconds. I actually impressed myself and it was a turning point in the round because I went on not missing a single putt for the rest of the round. It probably will serve as turning point for the rest of the season as I will draw on that experience to better handle these situations. Joe, I totally related to your frustration with your short game. Like you, every round, I would put myself into position with short wedges, only to come up way longer or way shorter, turning birdie opportunities into disappointing pars or worse!… Don’t know if anyone will read this to the end but I hope it can help in some way. Cheers and I’m remembering something that I think was attributed to Bobby Jones. I’m paraphrasing but it went something like this. He would have said that certain emotions could not be expressed while a golf club was still in your hands! 🤣
I recently started using the unit again with the latest firmware and yes noticed a couple no reads too. I did have a great misread tho. 178 ball speed and 122 club with my driver. My previous best was 164 ball and 113 club 😂 It flew straight too. Only funky number is AoA was 0.0.
I have had occasional no-reads, maybe once/round, but have noticed it seems to be if I’ve waited awhile to hit after placing my ball in zone. If I catch myself doing that, changing clubs maybe or something since I placed the ball, I will move the ball slightly and wait for another “ding” that the ball is active and then there isn’t a problem. This has cleared up most of the no-reads, but not 100% of them. Have also noticed occasional misreads on driver as you describe.
I’ve found it will scan a ball as it passes through the zone rebounding off the screen. Then not read it when I set up for a shot. I hit, no read. I have to place and wait for 2 reads to get it out of that mode/state. Sometimes forcing a second read by putting my club in front of the scanners. After that, it will read fine for many shots. This happens several times per round. Joe- please tell Uneekor. Thanks
Anyone having issues with the two ball alignment drill? Most days I can’t even get it to work so I just eyeball it. Occasionally, it does work. I set up and take down every time I hit so it’s part of my routine.
No issues here with current firmware. There was an issue a while back where it would kick to left hand mode for the alignment so I would have to put the balls the other side of that makes sense. So instead of closer to the screen further away from screen but I haven't had that with the recent firmware.
I used to have a bunch of no reads but it was due to the Eye Mini being on the same surface as the hitting mat. It will not read shots if it moves on impact. As soon as I moved it to a different surface, my no reads stopped. I also had an issue with angle of attack not displaying when placing the ball on the left edge of the hitting zone. If I move the ball a few inches away from the left most edge of the hitting zone, it's much more consistent. I really hated it when I first got it and it still has a long way to go but it's much better now. Too bad they took away the permanent unlock option.
I've had the EYE Mini since November and agree that it's the best version right now. I have seen a few other people have issues with "No reads". I, personally, have not had any issues with "No reads" or "miss reads" like you have. The only reason I can think that I'm not affected is because I have to setup and tear down after each session.
I couldn’t agree more the current version is the BEST! I have spoken with Uneekor and they have said they are trying to improve ball detection. The new beta firmware version though….. hmm lets just say its a beta for a reason lol
Do you know if the eye mini and eye mini lite is region locked? I want to buy one from the USA and get it shipped to Australia as the price difference is significant.
Anyone here have this? Do they ever have any connectivity issues? I am very sad right now. Built out my home simulator using the Skytrak+. First thing that happens is it disconnects 3 times before I can get a single swing off. I'm looking to return it and maybe get this but I don't want to get burned again.
Hey mate I can confirm that I have never had a single disconnection issue with this unit. And in my current testing against the skytrak plus this thing outperforms it in every category. The only advantage with the skytrak Plus is you get Club face and face-to-path data. Apart from that, in every other category the Uneekor Is better
I find the eye mini / GS Pro super accurate for speeds with putting. I have played a fair bit of golf on stimp 11 and 12 greens and they are SUPER slick and honestly you just have to barely tap even 10 footers. It's funny when I compared the eye mini to my mates GC quad the biggest difference was putting and you had to hit putts substantially harder with the quad and it just wasn't realistic. If you hit something that hard on stimp 11 greens it would be gone! Lol the eye mini was 100 percent more realistic. The eye mini is pretty much spot on with the ex putt.. actually I should do a test! I also have a stimp Metre as well so could show that.
@@JLagGOLF i’m on the eye mini lite. it’s still a great unit overall. interestingly it’s never had a firmware update since i’ve had it for 2 months. There’s only one version available since launch
No read is killing me. It mostly happens on driver/3w shots. I thought it’s related to the mat moving slightly before impact but I don’t think your mat is moving so maybe it’s not related.
I don't think it's anything to do with the mat tbh.. it wasn't happening before this update so it's something that's come in since the update. I know they are working on it! Fingers crossed mate 🤞🤞 hopefully it's a quick fix
Optishot are meant to be releasing their Nova product, no subscription required. No official GSPro integration, no club data, use PIX balls. Still awaiting independent RU-vid testing to verify it's a good product.
