SHOULD you UPGRADE to a DODGE CHARGER RT or DODGE CHARGER 392 SCAT PACK... (MUST WATCH)... 

Been driving my sxt for 3 years no issues, picking up my 1320 this weekend.

I went from a 2019 SXT to a 2020 392. The 392 is the perfect car for me. I don't need any more power.

I had a 2019 rt before I picked up my 2021 392. Definitely a noticeable difference in power and great upgrade. I will say the rt is no slouch it was still quick but not like my scat.

The reason I bought my used 2018 rt in 2019 was because of cost it had 36k miles and I got it out the door for $24k the same dealership had a used scatpack but it was pushing $37k honestly I felt like the power difference wasn’t enough to justify the huge price

I went from a SXT to a RT. The biggest difference is the torque between the two. It’s a great car no doubt and they usually get talked down on more than the v6. That being said I’m trying to jump in a 10spd Camaro Ss instead of a 392

392 is good daily driver but but R/T is better daily driver with few mods

R/T gang more than enough unless you’re on some racing ish. You hit that scat turning a corner too fast you’re going sideways. I’d definitely say move up the ranks with it if you’re not used to the power.

Shoot. It all depends on your situation. For example. Some years back I knew I wanted to eventually get a fast car. So I got a 07 v6 manual mustang when i was a lube tech some years back. And everybody was like "awww you should got the GT" but I knew the insurance would be high because I was young(still am) and I didn't want a high payment. Also it was my first manual car..and I like manuals. So id rather learn on something cheaper. Now I have a 2019 manual GT. I know how to drive a RWD manual car and I don't have a lead foot(got 2 tickets in my v6 in the first 6 months 😂). So just enjoy your whip and think of it as a learning process until you're ready to handle the power and/or the financial responsibility. And im in a Ford but I still love Mopars 💪🏾🤣

I have 5.7 Daytona with all the features plus performance package. Love it!

Had an R/T for an year and Just bought a 392 Last week Trust me it’s worth it, the power difference is real and if you want to buy an R/T and mod it to 392 power that’s cool but the money you gone spend on that you might as well get a 392 with a warranty 💯🤷🏾

SXT for 6 Years. 392 Scat, Year one. I fell in love with the sound of the engine/exhaust.

I had a 2019 RT, full bolt ons, was gonna do a full build, heads, cam, stall etc. Sadly all that money I spent it wouldn’t have outrun my 2021 392 with just a tune. Best bang for your buck and overall amazing package is the Scatpack.

I went from an Impala 2004 to a 2020 Dodge Challenger RT the only thing that stopped me from getting the scat at the time there was still a lot of upgrades to do in the new house I had to make a business decision so right now I'm enjoying myself while giving time time when it's time I will upgrade.

I almost went with a 5.7 but jumped right into a 6.4 last week for my first challenger and I'm really glad I did.

I will not from a RT and upgrade to a Scatpack ~~ too many v6 twin turbo are killing the scatt now , I NEED A HELLCAT

Man I just found out you can't just cam a R/T and get the same power and make it more reliable, also save on insurance compared to a 392.

I own the Gen3 2016 Charger R/T, and it's been hell of reliable, the motor has last me 86k miles. I have put the miles on the car because I love it so much. I'll be at the pump 2 times a week, and lucky that it takes regular gas, but sometimes I will put Premium Shell inside it often, because Shell Premium will burn off Carbon Buildup ontop of the Lifters. Only issues people will have, at 70k miles, Starter will need to be replaced, doing it yourself it's $200 at the Dealer $500, Differential Flush is $250 and needs be flushed at 80k, around 70-80k you'll need to do Throttle Body, Spark Plugs, Brake Flush. At 85-95k miles, you will need to do Exhaust Manifold Replacement, because the Manifold Bolts will seize too the Block, at 100k miles, "Yes this is true, it's in the Mopar Forums & my Service Advisor at Dodge in San Antonio confirmed this". But for the most part, and the run down, as a daily, I do Oil Changes every 5k miles, and it cost me $50 out the door at Dodge. I have had the best of luck with my R/T epically being the Gen 3 Dodge Charger R/T First Edition. The Engine & Trans has lasted me forever. As long as you take care of the car, the 5.7 & Trans will last forever.

I was shopping for the Hellcat. I went to a few dealerships and found a price that wasn’t bad at all. ( perspective lol). I drove it , I would end up in jail. It was way too easy to shred the tires and you have to know yourself. Are you prone to using all of those ponies ? 100%. So I took the scatpack out next. Widebody. It was surprisingly fast sans the 200 horses and was something I could LIVE with. The Hellcat comes with “death” as one of the options if you have a record like I do w “competition of speed “. All things considered , the scatpack widebody aka the WIDEBOY has enough power to handle what it is that needs a handlin !!!

I went from from a 5.0 V-8 F-150 to a 392 scat widebody and absolutely love it, it’s definitely the best bang for your buck👊🏻

That's how I feel when you said the Scat Pack is 500 horsepower but we actually know it's 485 the RT 370 horsepower I say it's just 400.

I jus I traded a 19 Altima for a 20 Challenger GT in April I'm good with the v6 I don't wanna spend $50 on gas every day in a scat. The GT last me a week on gas 🤷🏾‍♂️

I use to drive a 2011 Dodge Avenger and then I got rid of that and got a 5'7 hemi rt and had that for a year and traded it in and now I'm driving a 2021 Dodge Charger scatpack widebody

An RT is a trim level not an engine level. My Challenger is an RT 392 Scat Pack. I picked it because it is closest to a classic muscle car in that it shifts up with gobs of torque with my manual 6 speed. Love the heck out of it.

These Scat Pack guys be rounding huh?!?! 300 to 315 or 485 to 500! Dang! Lol All love!!! Also, 392 if you can afford one especially now! Technically if you can afford a 392 right now because they are going for 60k you might be able to find a older low mileage Hellcat.

I'm not going to lie even my previous car a 2019 Dodge Charger GT with a V6 rip supercharger kit on it does not compare to this 2020 392 Daytona that I have now most definitely I had an upgrade and will definitely I can feel the difference

If i didnt have to commute so far to work i would get a 392. I stuck with the RT. Now if i do upgrade camaro ss. Im going to hang on to my RT 2024 will probably be the last of theses models before they introduce the high performance electric sport cars.

I got 2018 dodge charger blacktop edition RT & 2019 scatpack both vehicle are fully customize wit airlift 3P suspension. I don't know why, but I love driving the RT a lot more than the scatpack. I have the RT front bumper wit a oem scatpack hood wrapped with a 3D punisher 💀. I love the performance on the scatpack, but my trunk is heavy due to the custom music, air tank & etc...

Bought a r/t 30k new 6k in performance parts as fast as a 392 now pushing 425hp 410 torque 36k total just bought a pro charger 6k after fuel system upgrade and install 10k 46k and I have pretty much a hellcat worth the money and it’s a custom car nobody has one way more bad ass than a car off the lot that’s just me though some people rather have a stock car off the lot and that’s fine too to each it’s own

You lose 20% in a auto and 15% in manual...power to the crank vs rear wheel horsepower...power to the crank can be miss leading

I love and respect all trims in the mopar family but I hate that dodge has given the v6s and rts the srt body style it’s ridiculous man I’ll think it’s a scat pack then when it gets close it’s a v6 gt trying to hit it most of the time I see the gt Chargers more then I see scats I get the business aspect of it from dodge but damn I hate that they have done this my narrow body doesn’t feel special anymore 🤦🏿‍♂️I should’ve got the wide body

I had an SXT Challenger in 2015. Then I bought a 5.7 R/T Charger in 2018. I just bought a 21 Scat Pack Charger in February. I would definitely suggest that anyone wanting a Charger or Challenger go for the R/T (5.7) AT LEAST. To me, the Scat is the perfect balance. It is not terribly expensive and it has nearly 500 HP under the hood. Hellcats/Demons are cool, but the price is too rich for my blood. For that price, I could be in a Benz or Beemer. And, they are not practical to drive daily especially if you live in the Midwest like me.

Am thinking bout getting a rt for my first car once I graduate trade schoo but am heading maintenance on a scat is really high shouod I get a rt or just get a scat I want to start a car channel

Oh I remember it's not the horsepower it's torque. The 5.7 has 395 torque. That's what's pulling the 🚗 That's why whoever gets a 5.7 would be in good shape because of the torque.

I have 2019 rt but it looks like the srt body I got the r/t instead of the 392 because of price only 28000 with 15000 miles and this was my first hemi it’s been 4 months and since I’ve seen that wide body I’ve been wanting one but I love the destroyer grey color that it’ll be hard to let that go just for a wide body I think they only come in smoke show grey but I’m cool with my r/t for now it’s enough power for me because you mostly faster than every other car on the road if you not scat or better then I’m not worried but that wide body been calling me

You never get angry looks while driving a dodge. You get angry looks when you’re driving a nice German luxury vehicle. I’m in the south just like you. Down below the Mason Dixon line in the heart of slavery. Whypeople hate to see a person of color with anything that is actually quality. I love to see them angry too. They will call the cops and claim the vehicle is stolen, they will take video of you driving in traffic as well. Think I’m lying? Drive a nice newer BMW,Merc,Audi for a week while being visible(no tint or windows down) and you will see visible hatred on their faces. You will lose count guaranteed.
