It’s so symbolic that specter knight is the only one not to bow because he knows what went down at the tower of fate that night he knows what she did to Reize. and how she manipulated specter knight into getting the order together with hope of resurrecting Luan.

2:59 Ok this makes so much sense now. King Knight stole Propeller Knight's rose and Cooper probably took it after that. And now we see him throw back the rose and the Hedge Pupil (a former ally of Cooper) get excited for his wellbeing.
It's not quite distorted, it's the same theme but more cinematic and with Shovel Knight's main theme and Fighting With All Our Might (Reize's boss theme) at the end. The main theme plays both because Specter Knight is doing something overtly heroic and because in doing so he's setting the stage for Shovel Knight's campaign, and Fighting With All Our Might plays because it's associated with Reize and Luan throughout the campaign.

No, Treasure Knight’s Campaign would be him evading the IRS given how greedy he is. The Iron Whale is not just to help with his Treasure Hunting, but also for hiding from the tax collectors. Xp
This is one the most haunting and sad ending out of all the campaigns (based on what I played so far, still need to finish king of cards): the village near the lich yard is looted, pridemoor is now under control of the order of no quarter thanks to king knight, the skies have been taken over by propeller’s fleet army, the amour post is being terrorized. What worse is that it was because of “YOU”, the fact that you made Specter knight lead to the creation of the order and his action, the enchantress has pretty much power over the land. What’s even more haunting is when Specter finally turns into his boss form, the one you fight in shovel of Hope
Specter knight's reasons for creating the order of no quarter are also quite selfish if you consider hundreds of people would end up dying and suffering just so he could regain his life.
@@truji2582 I mean, the enchantress merely used him as a messenger. Had he perished completely in the collapse of the tower, she would have found another.
god, i remember playing this for the first time. i'm not one to cry over the most simple tragic backstories, but when i saw this, i almost broke down, and even when i rewatch this, it still gets me every time. i don't know how they do it. this, and Undertale are the only two games that nearly moved me to tears. we all know how Undertale does it, but this is just a completely different story, and i truly don't get how.
I like how they play thehappiest music ever while villages are burned, 8nnocent people are killed, and villains are building their bases and starting plans.

@@zacknattack I had not considered that the showdown story was canonical and so soon. It makes the order of no quarter even more laughable. Every member got beat down like 3-4 times in like a single year. I assumed they ruled for at least a few years given the fact that most of the knights seem to have firmly established dominance over their domain when shovel knight rolls up
@@cakeyeater7392 yeah it's pretty funny how shovel knight's "life of solitude" probably lasted a week at most (considering that it takes shovel knight a day to clear an area (including travel time) while specter knight would likely be faster partially due to being able to immediately warp to the location)

I love how in the second Specter Knight fight in King of Cards, Specter Knight reuses that animation to transition between fighting you in his Specter of Torment form and his normal boss form.

According to this, he was too injured to fight in shovel of hope/plague of shadows. He was probably being taken care of by polar knight and his men while black knight looked to save shield knight
Judging by the fact that Shove of Hope happens very close to Specter of Torment/King of Cards (As seen in KOC’s post-credits scene and Shovel Knight’s campaign in Showdown), Polar Knight was likely still tending to Terrorpin’s wounds.
I don’t know how familiar you are with Photoshop but I think you could mask and cut some parts of the screen out and mold them all together when there is little to no text on screen. Because Specter Knight looking at the locket is a couple of seconds animation, so you can cut that right part out and then the same thing for the starry background when there is no text in front of it. These are just some random thoughts but where I live it is 12pm and I am very tired haha Good luck! I hope I it can help! :)
That can probably be accomplished by using any video editing software to cut the parts you want and remove the audio. Then using a (Windows?) program for that like Deskscape(sp?) from Stardock.
