ORIGINAL INFO: The fastest man alive! …was Jay Garrick. I guess Barry Allen is fastester.
RUMINATIONS: I suspect that I’m going to have to stop Secret Origins Month within the next few years. While there are plenty of characters that can be looked at, their relevance to current characters people are interested in hearing about goes down all the time. Mind you, growing cinematic universes and TV shows could change that, but it’s difficult to really know for certain. In this case, the Barry Allen Flash is relevant again thanks to having a TV show once more. As always when it comes to things on TV, I have not watched it, but I have heard plenty of good things about it, especially when compared to Arrow. Time will tell if and when I finally watch it, but for now, I just enjoyed what officially began the Silver Age of Comics. Another reason why I may need to stop doing them is just it’s been kind of decreasing returns since the first one. I got the big ones out of the way the first year or two of Secret Origins Month, which was really exciting for people, but by this point they’re really no different than any other episodes in terms of viewership and there’s certainly a lot I COULD be covering during November, since otherwise October and December pretty much lock in the types of comics I’ll be reviewing. The one nice thing about this time, though, is just how easy it is to poke fun at older comics thanks to stilted dialogue and artwork. That’ll never get old... well, aside from how they’re… old… Huh.
