I barely remember this film, and I think I reviewed it. It was like a sad slice-of-life film, but they just didn't find anything interesting to look at.

They tend to have a split filmography. Some strange ones then others that are more so human life kind of films.

@@RavensOsFan89 True. Several of their movies are great in my opinion, and I have them in my collection, but in recent 2 years or so it seems their ideas are not so fresh anymore. I don't like their recent movies, including Everything Everywhere and The Whale, but Beau is Afraid looks promising.

Ex Machina was the first A24 film I steamed. So far, it's my favorite A24. This is the first time I've heard of Showing Up. Sounds boring. A skip it for me. Thank you for your review.

I’ve seen one other movie from this director called first cow and that was kinda meh for me as well. Always willing to give their movies a chance. They have some weird ones and sometimes have some that can really be relatable
