I really can’t believe how amazing this podcast is, this podcast is going to be a catalyst on why the sport of crossfit will continue to grow and succeed.
Physical 100 season 2 have some of your ideas already so it would be easy to tweak. Was awesome to watch. They tested running capacity and how they cut people was awesome. It’s the first episode. They also did head to head beep test squats increasing weight.
A little cliche but CrossFit should have a truck sponsor where the athletes push the new trucks across the field instead of a sled. All of us old-school athletes had coaches that made us push their vehicles in high school.
For judging simplification, love the idea of not dictating HOW a movement is completed. Takes out the unusual movement clause, but also may invite many to glide-kip bar muscle ups
On the performance based scoring, every workout this year at semis was a timed event. What if there was one more “event”, and it’s just your total overall time for the competition. Every workout added together.

What about this for the CFG in Texas. You make creature like the iron bull (very heavy but doable for cf athletes). This is for time. You have 30 seconds to throw a ring on the horn from distance. As soon as you completed you can run there and attach the rope and pull the bull to the finish line.If you don't succeed you can attach your rope after the 30 seconds...that way you have cool texas like event including throwing.
How many athletes outside the top1% are full time professional athletes? I'm guessing its a very small number. How would you then expect there to a decent number of full time professional judges that don't have to have another job?
Why don't you include random sports (eg. basketball, track and field, judo) in CF competitions since you are at it? Isn't sport at the top of the pyramid? For "accuracy" I suggest fencing
The 10 general physical skills is the worst taxonomy of physical skills ever published. I suggest you evolve a bit. Glassman's articles are not the bible. Proper sports and training methodologies evolve
