You look so cute with the new cut! I was diagnosed 13 yrs ago and have had 11 surgeries. My hair fell out and I've decided to keep it shorter because it's easier to deal with and when it feels out some I don't notice it as badly. Also, I have weight problems but I can't keep weight ON. We all have struggles with this disease but you are a great example of how we can still go on with our lives. And even support others who have it worse than us.

First off....you look beautiful with the new do! Secondly, I was diagnosed many, many years ago with Crohn's disease. This was long before any social media. I think today there is so much more support for those recently diagnosed with a chronic illness. I've joined some Facebook support groups and it's amazing how everyone is there to support and comfort each other. You are so right when you say that being so sick makes you empathetic. It's an amazing gift to have compassion for those especially going through similar experiences as yourself. It has definitely been a difficult journey but one that I've learned a lot from and a lot about myself. Im sure you will feel the same that you are more courageous than you ever would have given yourself credit for. Continued success to you and of course most of all.....STAY HEALTHY!

How'd your surgery go? were you getting an ostomy? I had my surgery two years ago! In my case...the month following the surgery was the most frustrating. i had leaks all the time and I thought I couldn't handel it. but it does get better! trust me. you may not even have that problem :) I hope everything went well!

Macee, I hope it goes super well! I would say, as soon as you can start walking, do! It helps wake up the intestines and assists in digestion! If you have any concerns please let me know!

Hardest part of having chronic illness for me is feeling like a burden on the people that love me, care for me n watch me suffer. Hands down.

it looks like I may be the only one, but the music is really distracting trying to listen to you. If anyone else feels this way maybe you could make it quiter? :D Really glad you are back!
