I waited about 5 weeks to get mine. The whole pre-order situation really annoyed me. They charge you at the time of purchase and give you absolutely no estimated ship date. They should find their venture capital elsewhere instead of borrowing manufacturing money from their customers! And they can't offer additional clamps? Total crap. The product itself is fine and works okay with my regular Galaxy S7. Their business practices left a bad taste in my mouth, though. I should have waited until they were actually in stock. Sorry for using your vid to vent my anger. lol I'd love to see a group breakdown showing trigger break point vs shot location in a group! That would be fascinating. Good luck...like you, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to use the footage.

Good review.I used the eaglevision too ,I think it saves you more time money (no extra clamps) and efforts.The quality of their product is great too.

howdy from Sacramento. great video. i have the torrey pines unit for my gopro and i have found it very heavy atop my savage 10fcpk in 223 rem. also, for me at least, its hard to get the proper focus. on that mount, the gopro faces you, so unless you are transmitting to a smartphone or other monitor, it's hard to set the focus. in my experience, only the lower resolutions and frame rates will show in my smartphone via the gopro app. because of this, i can't see the image while using the super duper high resolution/ slow mo and therefore can't see if I'm focused properly. i use mine to film the shooting of belding ground squirrels here in norcal, but after a few vids, and frustration i took the torrey pines unit off my rifle. i am encouraged by the side shot product and will seriously consider one for my 2018 shoots.

It looks like a good tool for guys like you that have their own RU-vid channel for shooting or perhaps other shooting professionals.. I don't think it is possible to have too much info about what you are doing--so it is likely to help you with your channel. I would be interested in your opinion of this gadget after you have used it a while.

These are great for hunting.They do have a GoPro one now.

I’m actually excited about this new tool. Out of all of the variables we are trying to control to achieve the smallest groups when shooting, it is difficult to quantify exactly where those cross hairs are when that trigger is pulled. I shoot 5 shot groups at 115 yards and over 50% have 3 of the five in a tight group and 2 shots that open up the group. Most of the time I can tell when I pull a shot but many times I would swear that I was right on target. So was it me or some thing that I need to change when I process my brass or seat the bullet or measure the charge or change the primer type and so on. If you can analyze each of your shots with the video, you may be able to say yes that 1.5” group was really a .95” group and therefore uniforming the primer pocket did make a 1/8” difference in group size. I would like to see you use this tool to analyze some of your best groups to see if you can correlate cross hair location to group size and velocity. In theory if velocity and cross hair location and wind are the same, each shot should go through the same hole.

Would it be possible to rotate the whole assembly 90 degrees clockwise so your phone would be on top of the scope instead of the side? In other words it would be a top shot instead of side shot?

Can you mount it on the right side of the scope or only on the left ?

I have the Side Shot gear. How about advising as to how to get the camera image to be corrected and not reversed. This would e very much welcomed to us guys that need help in getting it done. I also want additional clamps. I ordered the Side Shot from Utah Airguns and hopefully I'll be able to order additional 30 size clamps. I also have the complete Eaglevision gear and a comparison is going to be in the works once I get the time to get a couple projects completed.

The cross hairs are crooked on the camera itself. How did you correct that? I'm having that issue.

Based on most of your 150 yard groups, I don't think you need it.

Damn $260 for some plastic and screws holding your phone? There's many phone mount for rifle scope on eBay that cost $25-30. Sure they aren't side mount and you have to use your screen on phone as your view but beats paying half the price of a Samsung s9. Smh
