Auto mode me bhi kar sakte hai. Parameter no. 4 access karke “ + ” button Ko 5 seconds k liye hold karo to auto calibration start ho jayega. Also I had made a seperate video for auto calibration procedure so please watch that stuff on my RU-vid channel. Thanks

Press & hold “ - ” button and note that control valve is fully closed, set it as your “ Yend 1 limit”. Similarly, press & hold “ + ” button and note that control valve is fully opened. This will be your “ Yend 2 limit”.

Single button se slowly open hoga and Two buttons ek sath press karne se fast open hoga.

Sir EK problem Araha Hai valve auto calibration karne ke baad bhi valve 20 % hai aur command bhi 20 % araha Hai auto mode me lekin dcs me 0%show kar raha Hai valve kya karun ki valve fully close hojayye valve hamara fail to close Hai

It's upper limit or open limit is not in the range that's why that error arises. So adjust the feedback positioner link with control valve and adjust in open condition with the help of friction clutch gear available on positioner.

Valve is either jam or may not open/close properly. There may be air leakage from seal/diaphragm in output side. Check for these issues

Your Positioner is mounted on which system i.e. Air to open/close actuator or power cylinder? Case 1: If ‘Air to Close’ type pneumatic actuator then check air pressure and ensure that it does not exceed specified limit. Case 2 : If power cylinder then you adjust through cushioning screw. And then repeat manual calibration procedure as explained in this video.

@@shantilaldhakar9967 it is a fail to close valve. On a diaphragm actuating control valve. The system set points requires the valve to jump up to 20% open as soon as any Ma signal is applied. So the valve was manually calibrated to set the lower limit to that 20% open so when Ma is applied it would automatically go to 20% open and achieve desired set points. Since the new 0% is manually calibrated to 20% open and the positioner closes the valve all the way to its seat once it gets the close signal. the display will read a negative number now because it thinks it is -20% to the seat. I was wondering if there is any way to zero that number out on the display or a better way to set up that valve to be able to achieve those set points. Thanks for the Help.

+ve button press & hold and then press -ve button In this way your action become fast.

Hunting problem caused due to these possibilities :: 1. Instrument air pressure drop after positioner output by any means including ALR failure or air leakage problem. 2. If the spring tension is loose than required then it happens. Thanks for appreciation and query.

May be air supply pressure is not sufficient or control valve/actuator is mechanically jammed.

Check air leakage after positioner output from tube joints and actuator diaphragm. If this check is found normal then check the feedback positioner link connection. It may be loose or very tight so adjust link and properly tight again. After all that please make positioner calibration, I think your problem will get resolved.

Dear friend, RUN 4 step during calibration “ Determine the minimum increment length ” means positioner will increment command by smaller fractions in decimal points & simultaneously check feedback and if it doesn't match then positioner stucks in RUN 4. Solution:: (A) There may be leakage from fittings/diaphragm so check all fitting tightness. (B) The position FB link may be loose so check tightness. And then calibrate again you will definitely success. Thanks for your query and I hope this information helps you a lot.

If power is healthy then it's interface card may be faulty. Solution: Contact to supplier/vendor for repairing/replacement.

I had gone through the positioner manual but did not find any information about contrast control. FYI 👍

if stroke 20 mm then we select 90 or 30 but now i select 90 and selector switch on 90 same as follow in parameter 2 according to manual

Factory reset your positioner and then re-calibrate in manual mode. If you got any issue then feel free to comment regarding problem.

RESET :: Go to parameter no. 50 and then press and hold “+” button for 5 seconds. This action will factory reset your positioner.👍

Make one output lower side port dummy and connect connect control valve to the remaining port.

Check the Instrument air pressure, if it is not sufficient to open/close valve then this error occurred 👍

“Range”means your range selected in “End1” or “End2” is incorrect. Please set it inbetween 10% to 85% at zero and span respectively. 👍

means positioner feedback is inappropriate with respect to command signal.

futher you may adjust it by roller gear mounted just below display.

Error in RUN 1 means either actuator/power cylinder is jammed or air pressure is not sufficient. Please check air pressure, pressure seal condition and jamming of valve/actuator.

Please adjust the zero and span range and accordingly it's feedback too. The difference must be greater than 80% and then calibrate using above explained procedure. Thanks buddy

Operate the valve using + & - buttons on positioner and set Feedback 0 at zero check and atleast 80 to 86 at span check. Then calibrate the positioner in auto/manual mode.

Check your actuator specification and if it is air to close type actuator then set air pressure. Also, you may set pressure 5-10% higher than rated pressure. Secondly, if above things checked and ok but problem not resolved then ensure that actuator spring tension is ok or not. It may be due to high spring tension of actuator so adjust it properly. 👍

In case of linear actuators, if valve stroke is less than 20 mm then we select 33° transmission ratio else for valve stroke more than 20 mm we select 90°.

Check parameter no. 7 and select proper parameter i.e. “rise” or “fall”. Your problem will be resolved.

Check parameter No. 7 and 38. If position feedback is just reverse then change parameter no. 38 from rise to fall and vice versa. And if command signal is reverse then change parameter no. 7 as explained above. I hope you got solution, further feel free to contact if you have any query. Thanks

Please check perameter no. 7 & 38 both parameters must be selected “ rise ” instead of “ Fall ” and then calibrate in manual mode as described in this video. I hope your problem will be resolved.
