This method provides unified, interpenetration-free, robust, and stable simulation of elastodynamics for arbitrary combinations of codimension-0, 1, 2, and 3 geometries with exact strain-limiting, thickness resolution, and frictional contact.

I like how they pulled the cloth on a table with raised edges hahah. Its hard!

It was quite funny for me to notice that Qingnan Zhou was the one performing the table cloth trick at the beginning. :-)

My Bayesian inference was biased by the prior that Qingnan knows some kung-fu stuff and could easily perform that table cloth trick. 🙂

I really enjoyed this paper, but now i'm curious. Will this actually come to Blender as an add-on? if so, will it be a free or a paid one? i'm really interested in this tech

We are still trying to speed up the algorithm before making it a plugin. I will let you know when we have more progress!

@@minchenli2292 Wow, you actually gonna make it available? OMG, can it make it to Houdini too? If this simulator actually have connection to reality I just gonna cry lmao...... I always be dreaming about actually simulating things like sound, temperature, air, metals, cloth etc.
