89- I went 3 months no pay cause finance office kept forgetting to list me as arrived at base. Finally I went to finance sgt AGAIN, he called the main office and WENT THE EFF OFF on how every month I came in a told him I wasn't paid, and he kept inputting my arrival, but the main office didn't submit my arrival. Thankfully Personnel had my base arrival or I would have been considered AWOL. It screwed up my pay for rest of enlistment. Once you have an issue with pay, they just keep happening for rest of your career. 😖😣😖😣

Nobody ate the "granola" bars in the MRE, because they had so much fiber they'd back you up. So they'd throw them into a box in the back of the HMMV. One time there was one kid running after the HMMV asking for food. They threw the entire box of bars into the street and kept going. That poor kid probably died from impacted bowels.
