That place has gotten too crowded. Grew up there in the 80s and 90s. Wouldnt want go there now. I'll keep the memories of the way it used to be. Thanks koa for fkn it up.
You just need a state park permit, or daily pass, it's not too steep, I think you can do a day pass for 8 to 12 dollars, but if you are driving in the dunes, you will need a couple of permits that run about 50 dollars for the year, combined.

Lake Michigan is like a mini ocean. It produces it's own mini hell storms in just a matter of minutes. Really have to see it to believe the power coming off the big lake when it sucks in warm/cool air from the surrounding area.....and spits it ashore.
