Got run over wearing a Shoei while splittin lanes in Dago and walked away from it. Totaled the bike, but other than some bursitis on knee and elbow, was all good and the car clipped the helmet. I love it and its transition lens is second-to-none. I do think the Simpson looks sick, though

Coming from a bell with a transitions shield, I wanted a Simpson but went with the rf1200 because I could get a transitions shield again.

aww yeuh! Solid video! I love the way simpsons look but overall comfort for blast hella miles I just have to opt for other helmets vs simpson. I do know many who ride and stack miles with their simpson, but I just cant do it. I feel my bell helmets are more comfy for longer miles. One day Ill score a shoei or an agv. Cheers Brooklyn. Yay YT is back,apparently it was down for everyone in the country here in Romania,was seeing posts on fb that Google and YT not working :D Was that issue only here,everything good there?Haha,well it's back now so np Hmm yeah I like the Ghost Bandit more Mentioned this before but the helmet I use is the Nolan N104 Absolute with hi-viz :)

Bit late to the party on this but now i own both of these helmets and my Large Ghost Bandit is significantly larger than my Large rf-1200 has you noticed that? They both seem comfy but when I traded my cb1000r for my harley 48 in white the white on the rf1200 is different to the helmet which hurt my brain.

doesn't matter which helmet you wear, if youre on the hiway all day you should be wearing ear plugs. I had a shoei neotec 2 but man shoei helmets are heavy as fawk! I couldn't do the 4+ lbs, I have a mod bandit on the way which is supposed to be a bunch lighter. Weight seems to not be something people consider but if you wear your helmets for 6+ hours multiple days in a row the weight matters. I'm sort of interested in the RF1400 but shoei really sucks about getting tinted and mirrored visors out there, and I like to have a mirrored or tinted visor. Clear visors have their time and place but using a dark visor with a piece of tape across the top to block out the sun all day really helps.

Agree about the ear plugs - That is interesting about the weight, the weight has never bothered me with the Shoei - I feel like it is so well balanced that it is not a factor for the long miles

Standard sticky mounts that came with the camera, nothing fancy.

Had the simpson now wear the shoei with a transition visor and pin lock. Shoei is a far superior helmet. Shoei is also Snell certified. Simpson does look a better aesthetically like you said.

Simpson for looks but that’s it. Shoei better in every other way imho. Hope you get the rf1400 for review man. Australia don’t get it until mid next year.
