The mutual admiration for each other ( having only met that night & performing an unrehearsed song) is so clear in their eyes. Just a beautiful moment. Bless you Sinead, Imelda told the crowds to line the streets today for your funeral. Bray loves you. ♥
She changed her song for Imelda minutes before she had picked up on Imelda energy in the dressing room and knew Imelda was very low in herself . How beautiful was that.❤️
We should have listened - maybe then Sinéad would still be here. She isn't though, so if you are reading this please just reach out to others around you who might feel alone- especially when they are acting unlovable..
Sinead O'Connor could sing the telephone directory to me from names A to Z. And I would still cry. Rest In Peace beautiful little Irish girl & princess. You will always be Queen in my eyes.
After reading and seeing documentaries, listening to and reading her songs and texts, reading her autobiography, for me, Sinead was autistic, "asperger", I am and I feel that she was, this sensitivity, this suffering, empathy, creativity, This talent isn’t bipolarity or anything else, it’s autism. She was so great, a beautiful soul.
I hope I never run out of of content with Sinéad. It keeps her going for me. I’m so glad to see all this stuff I’ve never seen. She collaborated with so many people and looked so alive in these moments. Lovely Sinéad. Devastated she’s gone ❤
Irishness at it's best. Two people who only met for the first time on that night helping each other through their struggles. Two phenomenal ladies with hugely unique voiced. The very essence of what music should be.
Imelda May told the story behind this stunning performance.. there was a lot going on in Imelda's private life at this time, her marriage was beginning to end etc. Whilst recording the show she put on her happy, smiley face and said no one would have known anything was wrong. She met Sinead back stage for the very first time ever and she asked Imelda was everything OK, Sinead picked up straight away something was up and Imelda broke down and told her everything. Sinead said didn't want to do the song she had planned and wanted to duet with Imelda on this instead, almost as form of therapy, hence the almightly powerful and emotional performance we have the pleasure of experiencing here. She said Sinead was a very sensitive sole
i did see the tubridy show when imelda told the story about meeting sinead ......you should have heard the reaction of the public .... they where smirking ...........sorry but why do people do this ? this is the real side of people how they perceive the fact that Sinead is totally open about here struggles ..... at least she helped another human being through a rough time when herself was not ok either......many people are still ignorant bigots about mentall health
Two of the best female vocalists EVER! R.I.P. Sinead. Please God you at last realise just how much you were genuinely loved. You've left a gaping hole in so many people's hearts. 💔❤

What a great performance from Sinead. I don’t know about Imelda but don’t get me wrong she truly has a good voice. I like them both. It’s a superb duo!
@@keeffeeo i know, i looked this out after seeing Imelda mention it in a chat show. She was wonderful, one of very few few celebrity deaths that really upset me
Thanks but Irish people don't usually refer to ourselves as "lasses". That's more of a Scottish thing. Also people from the Republic of Ireland don't like to be lumped in with "the isles" for lots of different reasons. No harm done, just FYI
Imelda speaks about this performance & and why they sung this song on a later interview on RTE late late show which is touching. Recommend checking it out.
