Every thing is clear sir but ..why did we consider the height from y-y line upto h2 in right limb while the increase in height is h2 only 🤔

Increase in height is just the difference between the initial point(X-X) and the final point(the surface of the fluid in the right limb). But when we measure the pressure, we measure it from the new datum(Y-Y)

ramana Small change in pressure will lead to large change in height of the right coulmn and the change is clearly visible.

first learn the basic of everything then teach. you should first tell that why we use different areas in this manometer? what is the advantage of this , why we dont use the simple manometer. you are just focusing on the theroy part.
