Size does it matter when buying your Loop Boat, I have had both 35’ and a 44’ boat on the Loop

Yes that can be a problem. But once they commit and get going they love it. Your wife is welcome to call Beverly or Laura anytime.

I have seen them on the loop, 50’ is a bit big, but mine was 50.

Lots of people loop with there dogs just like me and Beverly, and you will need to get a boat that works for all of you.

It’s been 10 years since I have been on the water. I would tell you not at all Crazy. That boat you have chosen will make your life much easier. I believe that boat has pods just be careful with them. I saw one in the dismal swamp very cool boat. Do you already own it? Who’s going with you?

No I don’t own one yet. I’m a otr truck driver I live in my custom 132” sleeper truck now. I’ve been a driver for 25 years. I’m not sure who is going to make this voyage with me it’s probably not going to be anyone with much more experience than me but I’m sure we can figure that out when the time comes. I’m in the planning and learning the rules of water stage. I love to research and learn new things so I feel this will be a great new adventure in life. I’m hoping to retire from trucking in the next year or so so I guess I better start contacting my local pocket yacht dealer about my new boat.

So I we fuel every 4 or 5 days. Typically 200 miles but have gone as many as 600 miles once. Our trawler gets 2 MPG hope this answers your question

Yes a 30’ boat would do just fine. Lots of under 30’ boats do the Loop all the time. The Ranger is probably one of the most common boats on the loop

They are roomy but they can be challenging in the locks
