Went and had chip blanks ordered from Amazon, cut at Walmart. I pulled the Skim out and attached the original key in to the Skim loop with the metal shaft going into the loop. Taped it on with electrical tape and a small cable tie. Removed column cover and put skim behind it. Jeep turns over everytime with new chip keys. Tricked the skim with old key. $20 for total job. Fob works too!
Great to hear. That worked for you since your SKIM module is still functioning. This video demonstrates the process for removing a faulty SKIM module and bypassing that system.
READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS!! Im a mechanic and the "first guy" to mess with a jeep botched the job. So this info coupled with reading ALL of the instructions helped me figure this damned thing out.

Right on Ibee!! Glad we could help you get the Jeep up and running again. Let us know if you need help with it running rough. Could be spark plugs and/or wires since its been sitting so long.
Grand cherokee limited gas . 2015 . Sometimes doesn’t start . Like this time . Didn’t start I had to take to service and show when past to computer scan shows this “PQ513 Skim key invalid stored “ After eraser the problem Did start but sometime after the problem comeback . And didn’t start .
HI there, i just talk to one of your sales. i need to know by deleting the skim module it will delete the P1686 code. and by replacing he pcm it will delete the 1698 code and 1687 code. and do you guys shipped to indonesia post code 10710
Right, so what I did was, got a brand new PCM that never had a SKIM programmed onto it and then took out the old one swaping the two. Next I removed the SKIM unit all together (Which is easy on a PT cruiser at least) then I put the key in and bam, it worked. Warning though, DO NOT put in your key with the new PCM inserted WHILE the SKIM unit is still in there, it will program the key to the SKIM again and you'll have the same problem all over again as the new PCM will be in the same state the old one was in.
I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota Sport I added a new computer from all Computer Resources and found that I have a SKIM problem now. Never had a problem before. I've followed the videos for the SKIM removal but there isn't a module in the steering column. Where else would it be?
Okay, so what if I have a used Skim Module from a junkyard. Could I still be able to use that skim module from a different Dodge Durango to the one I have? Both of them are the same year, my skim module burnt out so I was told to get a new one or used one.
With our process, you are eliminating the SKIM module by sending your PCM to us (or purchasing another) with the SKIM function disabled. You may be able to have a locksmith re-program a used SKIM module but it'll require advanced equipment and won't be affordable. You will also run the risk of that same style 20 year old module failing on you.
Hello I would like to know after the skim module bypass chrysler 300c what should I do with the security. Whe I open the door i have headlights and flasher on and off all the time for about 30 seconds. How can I neutralize the security ????
Will this work on a 2005 Dodge Durango 4.7? It reads "NGC/SKREEM Status : Engine Disable Command" currently. Key programmer said that the keyfob gets programmed and the WCM is not picking up the signal from the key thus always going into engine disable mode. He says faulty WCM, I opted to have the security system removed. Let me know if it would work on a system like this. Thank you!
Yes, this process will eliminate the SKREEM system altogether. Under the steering column is the SKREEM module, that would need to be removed and you need to have the security disabled PCM installed thereafter. We can provide the service to your PCM or you can purchase another unit with the option disabled. You can call us toll free at 1-866-699-5230 if you have any questions.
What if the alarm goes off. If the alarm gets triggered by accident, will putting the key in the door and locking the door still turn off the alarm if the skim is deleted?
i have a jeep grand cherokee v6 gasoline and it has no even a spark or fuel supply and we change it a new pcm , but still its not working. do you have any idea about this issue? because this jeep was not running since 4years thank you and God Bless
I purchased a replacement PCM for my 2007 Dodge Durango. Well I connected PCM and started the vehicle ...I believe someone changed the skim module not knowing we had to put the original back in to connect to PCM and key. Is there any way to reset and start over? Did I do any damage?
Will this solve my p0513 invalid skim key code 2012 jeep liberty. Jeep just clicks at random times when starting. Sometimes taking a long time to start. Seems to be getting worse and getting on my nerves now security light is not on and no check engine light thats the only symptom. My mechanic put a scanner to it and thats the code it read. I have 2 original keys and got a new key and does it with all 3. Thinking about just taking the immobilizer out and ordering a pcm woth the delete.
@Brandon Donovan unfortunately not. I returned it. I spoke to someone and then bought it off their website specifically for my jeep. Didnt work then i was told that they don't do the skim delete for my jeep meanwhile i spoke to someone who said they do and then ordered it on there website and paid extra for the skim delete which stated it was for my specific jeep...supplied them with my vin and all...returned it and they refuse to give me a full refund they took their re stocking fee even when it was clearly their fault...dont recommend them
Just swapped a 5.7 into my truck and having issues with starting the motor. Had to swap the ecm out of the donor truck. Will this work with my truck? My truck is a 2007 dodge ram 1500, with a 4.7 in it originally. Swapped to a 2005 5.7 with its computer. Help please.
Mr. Murphy, If you swapped the motor and PCM from another truck, the Key and SKIM module is still programmed into the other PCM. I cannot guarantee that clearing the SKIM and removing the SKIM module will solve all your issues, but is a step that is required to move forward. You can contact us directly at 786-879-7566 and we would be happy to set that up for you.
@@acr thank you the shop that did the swap should be contacting you soon. What we have determined is we need to remove the skim module and use an unprogrammed pcm.
Will this work on a 2006 dodge charger rt I'm having an issue where intermittently it will read my key and start right up but other times it will run for 2 or 3 seconds and shut off and security light will flash
Hi guys, Great video - very Informative. Could you please tell me if I send to you a PCM from a 2007 Wrangler 2.8 CRD diesel model along with the VIN number, from here in the UK on a DHL rapid delivery… ….if you would be able to delete the SKIM line from the PCM and return it to me here please. We don’t mind paying for a faster pre-cleared courier service. That would be most appreciated if you could confirm this please. Many thanks
Hi, what is the postage cost to Australia ? Any Idea of turn around time ? Is the cost of having a PCM sent with my paying the bond on sending mine back the same ? ( I guess that's just a tested SKIM removed unit you send ? ) I have to just send my PCM part number and VIN ? How quickly can you get one underway ? Curious about the PCM VIN..... what is it in the car that the VIN in the PCM is reconciled with ? Is it the BCM ? Just curious.
Hey Paul, right around the 2007 Models, Mopar began introducing the WCM, which replaced the SKIM module. It is difficult to know for sure. I suggest checking under your steering column, providing the part# from the module you see there, and getting that over to us. It is a case-by-case basis with that year's model.
I have 2011 Jeep wrangler JK that I want to get rid of the SKIM, originally the JK is a 2007 model and it was automatic, I replaced everything under the hood from a 2011 Jeep wrangler JK that includes engine, 6speed manual transmission, clutch and break pedal, the TIPM wiring, the master cylinder, and the slave cylinder, now I have security issues… I just want to get rid of all security, what should I do if I have the key tumbler and the key from the original 07 and the automatic pcm? I also have the donor 2011 JK manual PCM?
I’d unplug the skim and try putting the pcm from the 2011 in. If that doesn’t work I’d send the 2007 pcm in to these guys and have them remove the skim. Even with an automatic I think it would work with the manual because it’s the pcm, the tcm controls the trans
Necesito ayuda…
module works fine, key broke in two pieces and metal part got lost (ironically, wearing it around my neck so I would not lose it!) so much plastic in so many wrong places!!!
I recently had this service done to my 2005 dodge magnum , after i plugged the pcm back in it still doesnt crank up , do i need to have my key reprogramed? Im kinda lost been without the car for almost a yr now because the guy switching the interior parts broke the skim module off the side of the ignition so the ignition would fit smh. Any further info would help thank u .
I removed and replaced my PCM. My 2006 Dodge 1500 ran good for about 1hr. It lost acceleration, and idling got rough. I pulled the plugs from the PCM and put back in and it ran again like it should. Everytime I do this, I have to reset and go through the same process. I finally went to the dealer with the skim code PO633. Very expensive key, but this did not reprogram the system. What is the problem here? The dealer wants to soak me for Diagnostics. What do I do next?
You removed and replaced the PCM I see but did you have the SKIM removed from the PCM by us and did you disconnect the SKIM module before installing the new PCM?
I am going to do this when i have a moment to work on my jeep in the next few weeks. P-0513 code. Did a work around to get it going (unplugged battery and a fuse, waited 5 mins) and it fired back on. Once the car is running, can the skim kill power to the engine if im on the road? Or does it only do its initial check at the start of turning the ignition on? The bandage fix got me home, now im paranoid to use it tomorrow to get to work if it could die on me while driving
Soon long story short! My 2004 dodge ram 1500 laramie was broken into and almost stolen. This happened on November 16th 2022 progressive gave me the run around and so now they finally decided to call it a total loss since the immobilizer is unattainable... will this work for me??
I have a few questions. I have several jeeps and i use a few offroad. Would I be able to switch this between my jeeps for which ever one I'm not working on at a given moment? Wrecks and maint go with offroading. Also, I have an after market remote starter on another of my daily drivers. is this compatible with that? I'm searching for answers before I find out I just spent money on a brick. Main problem is with my daily but if this works then why not add a bit of reliability to my off roaders.
Indeed, the remote starter transmits a signal to the ignition system. Should you choose to bypass the SKIM, you can still operate this system, without the need to synchronize the remote starter with the security system. It's crucial to completely remove the SKIM module, as demonstrated in the video. Hopefully, this addresses your inquiries. For expedited assistance, feel free to reach out to us at 786-879-7566.
Just had ACR remove Skim from ECM for 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After install, it started, skim/light came on and kept driving. Soon however, I’m stranded on side of road and it won’t start. Crank, no start. May as we’ll be same as before. Didn’t work for me. Yes, the key Module was and is unplugged.
Did you just purchase the SKIM service? It seem like the PCM can actually be failing. If you just purchased the SKIM removal we do not test or re build the PCM, we just perform the service requested. We do have the PCMs for your vehicle and can offer a discount since you already have a purchase with us. Give us a call at 786-879-7566. Thanks
Yes you will. Just finished up with an install and the key at this point becomes and old school key. It will start the car and unlock the doors but the remote functions no longer work.
This is a possibility with certain model vehicles which are not included on our listings. The vehicles we outline in the listing will maintain the key fob functions. store.allcomputerresources.com/skimremoval.html
I ordered SKIM delete for my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I explicitly followed the directions for installing the pcm. I had previously disconnected the SKIM module but didn't remove it. It stared up fine, I test drove it to make sure everything was working properly. The next day my wife drove it to work. when she unlocked the Jeep to come home the alarm system came on, the lights were flashing, the horn was blowing and she could not turn it off. Someone pulled the horn fuse to quiet it but the alarm system was on on her entire drive home. Turning off the ignition didn't help nor restarting it. I totally removed the SKIM module and checked every fuse and the alarm system still will not stop...The only way to make it stop is to remove the negative battery terminal. I even tried restarting installation of the pcm from scratch by unhooking the plugs from the pcm, disconnecting the battery, connecting the terminal cables overnight and resetting everything again...the alarm system is still activated, I do not know what to do now. Also we no longer have a key fob for the vehicle. Please help, we need this vehicle running and need to disable the alarm system. Thank you
I’m in the exact same boat. I didn’t “need” the skim removed but went ahead and added it on since I was ordering a ecm from them anyways. Fired right up, great right???…… well no. Physically removing and unplugging the SKIM and gettin the new ecm with the skim requirement removed meant that my 100% stock Jeep key FOBs no longer worked and as soon as someone manually locked a door it armed the alarm so guess what you use the key to unlock the door, the alarm goes off as this generation of grand Cherokee the only way to disarm the alarm other than unplug the battery is to hit the buttons on the key FOBs. After reaching out to this plug and play company that is only taking tech support I was told “ “ “ Tech Support (All Computer Resources) Oct 12, 2021, 1:24 PM EDT Understood, This can happen in some cases. I advise taking the vehicle to a alarm specialist. Thank you, Sebastian Chaparro | Technical Support Specialist” To which I replied this vehicle is 100% stock why would I need a 3rd party specialist etc, most of my troubleshooting inquiries were ignored. My response “This has a stock alarm everything is stock on this vehicle so why would that happen has to be something to do with the new computer that was put in it has nothing to do with the aftermarket alarm system because this does not have an aftermarket anything installed in it. Please advise, I’m not satisfied with your response. Is it true that if I reinstall the SKIM module it will go back to how it was before and require the proper chipped key? I just added that on, SKIM removal, as an extra thing to remove in case it failed in the future. I can start the vehicle but the second I plug the negative battery cable back on it immediately starts the horn blaring and lights flashing. I can start it right up and the horn and lights continue to go off. Please advise. Thanks, Luke” Their response “Tech Support (All Computer Resources) Oct 13, 2021, 2:28 PM EDT Yes i agree although the vehicle alarm is factory to the vehicle we do not change anything on the vehicle itself. all we do is just remove the security from the PCM now the vehicle itself needs to have the security modified. Thank you, Sebastian Chaparro | Technical Support Specialist” I understand they only alter the software on the computer but when you explicitly say plug and play and give instructions about removing the SKIM device before installing the new computer that is my understanding as the extent of the security being modified. Where’s the tech support from this company other than telling me to go get it fixed somewhere else. I had such high hopes, if they spent less on SEO to burry the negative reviews and more on making a functional product everyone would be happy.
Mr. Kuhn, there is not a connection between the PCM SKIM and Alarm. If this is an aftermarket alarm we won't be able to determine in which manner the Alarm was setup. Removing the SKIM and replacing the PCM has absolutely no correlation to the Alarm. If you had an aftermarket auto-start Alarm installed on this vehicle you may need to have it diagnosed.
Reinstall the SKIM, this is the only way for the FACTORY ALARM & KEY FOB to unlock/disable the alarm. I went through the same issue and they gave me the run around regarding this issue on my 2005 grand Cherokee, why they offer it as an option is beyond me.

We recently ordered a new PCM from All Computer Resources with the SKIM Delete included. We have a 4.7L 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. We removed the SKIM Module installed the new PCM per instructions and when we went to turn the Jeep on, it still only cranked and gave the wrong key symbol with no gauge activity. Any ideas?

Hey Jasper, If you sent your PCM to us to have the SKIM removed you would only have to remove the actual SKIM module from the vehicle then install the PCM.
@@acr I was hoping to sort the cause. I assume a lose connector or something. Though all connections appeared to be tight. I removed the module and modified a stock tune file with the option disabled to see if its it via EFI live. I assume when I flash new tunes in the truck this will come back up later on. In the mean time I ordered a new skim module and will attempt a relearn once the parts arrive. I dont actually know how to tune I know enough to change some things though. Thanks for the replies.
,the skim is not recognizing the chip that's in the key. The skim is programed to do this, it then passes that info on to the PCM. ONCE accknowleged the PCM allows the car to start. Basicly all 3 must match the same info to work.
So in other words you are not deleting the security out the pcm you putting it in a continuous learning mode so that's why the skim module needs to be unplugged or removed
No, If the PCM detects the SKIM reader it automatically reactivates the SKIM system. That's always the case with all the SKIM removal services. It's nothing to do with what they do. Leave the SKIM reader connected or reconnect it later and you're back to square one. That's why they say don't just disconnect it. Remove it or if any mechanic or electrician or subsequent owner sees a disconnected plug and pops it back in it's all over again.
I see I didn't actually address your question nor can I. All I was saying was that the skim check is still part of the startup routine. I'm not sure exactly how it's effectively bypassed by those who perform the service

Mr. Boo, Since each PCM is essentially a custom order which means it is calibrated and programmed specifically to the VIN along with a rigurous rebuild and testing process, lead times generally take 3 full business days if every part of that process goes smoothly. We have enhanced our internal system that notifies the customer along the way of each process and result to keep you in the loop.

Sounds like you're just resetting them to factory new, then it doesn't do the key learn process, and happens to be programmed (by chrysler) to do that by default if the module isn't present.
@@mighteydog7, if you disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for a while the PCM resets itself to the Factory settings. That's always been my understanding.

I asked for a 2007 dodge Dakota quad cab V8 4.7 flex fuel/gasoline. I was told by your staff members, the year of my truck are unable to be deleted?. Based on the listing it mentions beyond 2008 dodge trucks are unable to perform the service. Can I get a clear answer? My truck falls in the service.
Oh wow all U R is selling your service, quite misleading title to the video. I am not surprised I knew it was not a on car fix w/out any further needs aka cash. I worked for Chrysler for many years & w/out a doubt puchasing 4 keys & paying the 1 hour to program them is a far better action than eliminated the system, the keys can be reprogramed if a module fails.
Thank you for the input. Since you are familiar with Chrysler and worked for them for many years could you share your experience with all of us? How much would it cost to replace and program the skim module if that would fail?
Oh yes as for costs U beat the chariots hands down, my view is on keeping the systems intact as designed so I give U credit for providing an option & I would not be surprised If I have installed a few of your remanufactured Engine Controllers in my career. To answer your question generally the labor including diagnosis would be 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on replacement time , Most JTEC'S R .5 to replace reprogramming anything is included w/Dia & entering the milage is an important feature many people ignore. I hope that covers your concern 👍 ... U do have me thinking would there be a way to fool the bias signal? Maybe put a 1.5v battery on the pci wire? ??? Interesting to ponder dangerous to use a vehicle to find out, anyhow happy motoring.
This isnt a problem solved, this is you selling a service, solving the problem would be showing how to do it or telling people to buy hptuners themselves and do skim retrofit for removal
