What a great video Nerida! As an esthetician, I really appreciate your videos, and you explaining what you do, what you like using, why you do it. As practitioners, you can ask 20 of us how to treat a certain skin and get 20 different answers. Your perspective on treating skin has really resonated with me, and inspires me to always keep learning and to be half as great as you are some day.

Thank you for addressing the use of steam during a facial for Melasma! I always thought it was strange when aestheticians use steam on Melasma patients, and started asking my facials to stop using it... glad to finally hear someone who knows what they're talking about mention it.

I absolutely agree with you on skin diagnosis. as a new esthetician I’m soooo interested in it and it’s my biggest concern as of today. Thank you for this great and informative video! I was wondering about your opinion on PHA-acids. I have read/heard that they can be milder than AHA and perhaps a better alternative for sensitive skin (though my personal experience with it does not confirm this as it really did compromize my sensitive skin barrier). But do they have the same skin rejuvenating properties as AHA?

Helllo Nerida, can rejuvi lightening serum be used all over the face or just in spots? I have hyper pigmentation on my lower face ( cheeks and mouth area) and want to know if the serum can be massaged into the entire face to even it out. Thank you!

Hi Nerida, I had been following your FB and youtube for a while. Very informative information. BTW, you do mention the clients need come to see you in two weeks. I found it is a challenge let clients come every two to three weeks. I explained to them the result is cumulative, they just do not want to come so frequent. Any suggestions how can I let them come every two to three weeks? Another challenging thing is clients only come to me for treatment. When I recommend their home care regimen, most clients are refused to buy. They said they are ok with their own home care products. I know some clients home care products are not proper for their skin. Is there a good way to let them purchase? Thanks for your time.
@NeridaJoySkincare
@NeridaJoySkincare 5 лет назад
Hi Tony, most of my clients do not come every two weeks...I tell them when they need to come back...BUT, their home care is most important. If they are not using the home care you recommend, thats not great. How can you get their skin to that next level if they are not using what you recommend. I am very honest with my clients and a little tough too, and set them up with a prescription regimen for home. You need to work on that part first as home care is vital to your salon results:))

Really nice treatment Nerida! Question, why did you take off the flavonoid treatment before you put on the mask? And can you also leave it on for even more effect?
@NeridaJoySkincare
@NeridaJoySkincare 6 лет назад
Good question. Every step has it own unique purpose. If you have layers on your skin, the mask will have less of a chance to do its job when buffered by other treatment products. Sometimes, I do put something to buffer it, but every thing I do is for a reason.... and it all depends on my client?models skin. My treatments are always custom and can change accordingly. By layering treatment serums or creams, I am buffering, and each layer leaves a blanket of protection for a reason.

Hi Nerida, I suffer with melasma and acne. I feel the exfoliating acne products have almost made the melasma worse. Is that possible? What would you recommend for someone struggling with melasma and acne? Also, I worry about the fragrant oils in Rejuvi... What are your thoughts?
@NeridaJoySkincare
@NeridaJoySkincare 3 года назад
Ihf Exfoliating acne products can make things more noticeable ...but you have to do the right steps. It would only make it worse if you are not following up with actives to lightening the melasma ...like retinols or aha's AND you MUST use sunblock spf50 at least, layering 3 coats not just one. As for the rejuvi oils...its less then 1%... :)

Hello, greeting from Tampa, FL I have couple of questions. Why do you not use toners? And what is your opinion on these thermal spring water mists? or any mist? I noticed you don't use them and specific reason why not?
@NeridaJoySkincare
@NeridaJoySkincare 6 лет назад
I do use a toner after extractions in my treatments and sometimes after i take off the exfoliant or mask.....it just depends. I do not use a toner for my own personal regimen though, as i do not feel it necessary. Honestly, I rarely recommend them unless its a treatment toner such as a brightening one that has vitamin C to aid in sun protection. I just find if my clients are cleansing their skin correctly they usually don't need it. If a client likes to use it....just because, I say OK.....it depends really. The mists ....most of them are a waste of time. Depends where you live....if it is humid or not...and depends on the mist itself...What is in it? is it a humectant? again....it just depends.....I do not dislike toners or mists, it just depends:))))))

@NeridaJoySkincare
@NeridaJoySkincare 6 лет назад
Hello Cindy, Yes, you do leave the flavonoid on your skin. You only need a small amount of the flavonoid as there should not be excess to wipe off. In facial treatments I use a lot of everything, but at home that is not the case...just a couple of drops:))

What is a good alternative for Vitamin C for those that can not use it because it congests their skin? I personally have this problem, I get clogged pores that are so tiny it feels textured but when I discontinue use of any products with vitamin C in it it goes away. i've also had a client with this problem, as her congestion shows up as milia.

Yes, some people are allergic to Vitamin C. Stay away from it all together it is not for you. Rejuvi has a Y serum and an aha serum that is great. Email Monique at educateyourskin@gmail.com and ask her to send you these samples to try.... just tell her Nerida said:)))) keep me posted Jaryn!
