The Ben Simmons drama in Philadelphia has taken another turn. Yesterday, Simmons was kicked out of practice after he refused to participate in a defensive drill, and the team suspended the guard for tonight's season opener because of it. Joel Embiid did not mince words about his teammate afterwards. Embiid told reporters he hadn’t talked to Simmons and quote: 'Our job is not to babysit somebody... and I'm sure my teammates feel that way.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe predict where this is heading for both parties.

He likes to demean other and overly showboat like an insecure primary school bully. Of course him being the best player on the team gives him a lot of power because the management will do anything to keep him on the team. I think that ben played the playoffs bad on purpose to force a trade. I think ben wanted to be out way before allready but they didnt listen to him when he asked for a trade so he decided to play horrible in the playoffs to force his way out. After the whole summer telling the franchise that he wants out then the coach and the best player aka embiid (who is obbiously protected) turmed on Ben which was the last straw. Now ben is doing this to force his way out. To put it shortly i think embiid has that immature/insecure 'destroy' type bully mentality. The type wher he would secretly cause trouble and then run away and look at the damage he made from a distance where he looks clean. And since he is the best player his way goes because the management doewnt want to loose him. So now he has different ways of causing trouble also through other people. Thats just my 2 cents. Embiid is a personal glory seeker willing to take all the accolades and backstab teammates by publicly shaming and placing all the blame on someone else. While he is the better player, he is not the better teammate. Simmons last year playoff field goal percentage was 62.1% to Embiid’s 51.3%. Assist to turnover average (net) Simmons +3.5 Embiid -0.4. Their playoff plus minus was close to equal with Embiid +121 and Simmons +113. These stats happened while Ben was not at his best and focused on what he could best contribute which is defence and getting his team involved by passing. Remember Embiid was swept in the first round the year before without Simmons.

Lol. After seeing the interview I still feel Joel Embiid meant “I don’t care about that, man.” Instead of the “I don’t care about that man.” that the media is portraying. The difference is in the 1st one the “man” is referring to the reporter he was speaking to. The “man” in the 2nd one would mean Ben which is what they’re taking it as. I feel Joel meant the former while the media went with the latter for the extra drama. In conclusion the power of the commas lol. At least that’s how I see it.

If that’s the case then nobody took accountability wtf. It’s not like Ben Simmons was taking shots and missing, he wasn’t taking them. Embiid didn’t make plays, Doc didn’t make rotations. The only thing that had the Sixers in the game in the first place was Ben clamping Trae on defense and having 13 assist. Doc and Embiid straight up blamed the whole thing on Ben as if everybody else was hooping so hard in that 4th quarter

@@jaaymurray3608 Embiid played on one leg the whole series foh. Simmons kept the Sixers alive? His FTs and unwillingness to shoot kept the Hawks alive too. Sixers got kicked out of Playoffs years in a row almost for the same reason, Ben Simmons isn't accountable when it's time to score,period.

You don't say either in the media if you actually want him on your team. It would've been hard for Ben to come back no matter what, but after they both said that, there was no way.
