Jeremy Tyler is a 6’10 Center and power forward from San Diego California that was a dominant star for San Diego high. By his sophomore year he was unstoppable and recruited by just about every major college program in the country. He committed to Louisville after the year and headed into his junior season ranked the 7th best player in the country. Considering the 2010 class was loaded, this was high praise. Not that it was unexpected because up to that point no player could stop Tyler on either end, as he was tall, but also moved with the confidence of a wing player at times and rarely was he met with challenge at the rim. He averaged 28ppg as a junior, and was set to have an all American senior year before a likely one and done college career. But then he chose to skip his senior year of high school and head to Israel, then Tokyo Japan before being the 39th overall pick. His NBA career lasted just 3 years before becoming a journeyman and some call underachiever. Skipped his High School Senior Year To Become A Bust! Jeremy Tyler Stunted Growth Story

I was surprised you didn't do this one sooner! I knew as soon as he skipped his senior year, he would almost certainly crash and burn. He needed that extra year to fine-tune everything, and would have been served well with at least a year in college as well. His situation was tailor-made for this channel.

I remember hearing about a young man a long time ago who was leaving high school after his junior year and I'm glad to have heard the story. I actually think he fared a lot better than some people who actually go to college and never get picked up. I believe it was Ill advised but it wasn't a total failure.

This was a pretty unfortunate case of someone who never had any adversity thrown his way, and didn't know how to handle it when it showed up. And this was where college could've helped, Israel is pretty high level when it comes to international pro ball. No matter where it is, pro ball doesn't have time to babysit players.

This reminds me of Ben Simmons: One and Done on Showtime when Ben’s mom says “When a 14-year old violin prodigy happens, you don’t say ‘He can’t join the orchestra. I believe high school kids should be allowed the choice to go pro after high school.” Fast forward to now… Ben is a MESS! Even if the Nets are getting better!

At the end of the day if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. One day someone probs will come along who’s good enough to play in the NBA as a junior or even sophomore, Tyler just wasn’t that guy. If you follow football you’ll know Rooney was playing and scoring in the prem at 16, so I think someone could do it, they just need to be highly skilled w an extremely developed body, that’s why some thought Bron could do it back then

Smh, his support system set him up for their success and dreams. Wasted his youth and I agree 6’10 and his skills was not dominating anyone not in HS. He needed to play other D1 kids.

Let's be honest as shady as college sports politics are the system of developing players actually works for the most part.Idk much bout the g league farm system they created for hs players to go play there instead of college but it still is the fact of a young player needs time to develop physically n even moreso mentally. The mental part destroys these young players then the ability aspect because performance pressure, family pressure, expectations of self and feeling the need to match the hype makes these players move faster then they need to Sidenote:He was a good backup to the backup centers in golden state on 2k13.I got some good and 1 finishing poster dunks from him 😆
