The sword is in very good condition. The blade is strait and sharp and does not have any rust. There are some minor bits of saya rub on the blade but it does not look like it was used for cutting. The ito is tight. The habaki is held well in the saya on the koiguchi. The kashira is not loose. The tsuba does not wiggle. The tsuke does not rattle when I move the blade at speed. The saya does not have any major chips but does have some minor scuffs.
I think the blade is like new condition or very close.
Handle/Tsuka Length:11.25”
Blade/Nagasa Length: 28.5” (without 1” habaki)
Sori:.81”
Moto-haba:1.34”
Saki-haba: .96”
Motokasane: .24“
Sakikasane: .19“
Weight: 2lb 7oz
POB: 5” from tsuba
MSRP: $1747.00
KoA: $1447.00
The blade also feels quite nice in the hand. I know that does not mean much coming from a stranger on the internet but from my perspective it feels like a nice sword.

thank you i think that komo sword is the most beautiful production sword on the market IMO. I have been looking at it for months debating on if i should get it and its really the kiroshae i like so much. so you have giving me alot to think about. i dont know if i need a laminated blade for killing waterbottles and firewood lol but it sure is pretty!

Good God i've been waiting for any review of this sword for over 2 years. Thank you so much! I was so happy to see this. Great content, wish i cold see cuts with it. Was this the "new" kumo or standard?

I have not had a chance to do anything with a katana when I get done with my series I may take a stab at it and we can do some comparisons. I will say that based on historical models of curved blade swords as published in The Sword Form and Though. I'd say your chart looks very accurate, but I think over time we will see how katanas get represented in general.

It would be interesting to compare in to a Katana which feels bad in your hand. And compare the various arming swords you had in your earlier video

I recently subbed, i like the reviews a lot, is there any chance you could review dragonfly katana from Cold Steel? There are just no videos about it. And as Cold steel swords are pretty popular, i think many people would love to see your opinions on that one.

I like your videos and my question is and I know you are not a sword polisher but would you know if you can get a hamon to come out on a blade by using never dull or diamond polish or will only hazua stones bring out a hamon? It seems like the never dull is bringing out the hamon but not very fast! I've spent a lot of hours polishing it. I bought a sword from swords of the east and it was a tempered blade but it's spotty and after my purchase they wouldn't return my calls. Instead of hating it I've been polishing it. Keep doing videos! I think your videos are the most interesting in utube. Sorry my message is long

Can you do a truekatana blade for shits and giggles review? I bought one around 600 haven't received it yet but hope the best lol. Wish I'd come across your channel sooner. Thanks for the content!

I like this sword in particular. I wasn't familiar with Skyjiro but now I've seen a few of their swords and seem worth it, especially this one is of my liking. Only thing in the way for me really, is the price :(

Ever built a sword through Swords of North Shire? I have designed one and am nervous about quality. It's only $469 but getting my wife on board for that was near impossible. Just curious if you've had an opportunity to handle a custom katana from that site. Thanks

Can't help but notice how that angel sword throws off the flow of your rack...

vibration is really hard to judge in Katanas. They are thick and short and yours has a soft iron core so they don't vibrate much.
