I cant watch any of nates videos without thinking, "hey Nate, its guys here". Cheers to whoever made that comment. You are a legend to me, sir. Also, nice work Nate.
If I am doing my statistics correctly, since the event of acquiring that circlet follows a geometric distribution, a 95% confidence interval about the acquisition would be [5, 736]. (Find log(1 - 0.05 / 2) / log(1 - 0.005) for the lower bound and log(1 - (1 - 0.05 / 2)) / log(1 - 0.005) for the upper bound.) In other words, given a playthrough, I am 95% confident that it would take you anywhere between 5 and 736 tries, inclusively, to acquire the circlet.
Os Skyrim the game of the decade or what? The game launched almost 10 years ago and is still going strong - sure the modding community helped a great deal but I haven’t heard of any other game the satisfied as much as Skyrim does.
Is Reyvin Sadris Circlet kind of a bug caused by some thieves guild quests? I mean there's a (repeatable) side quest (provided by -not sure- Vex or delvin) in which you have to steal items from specific NPCs, which then have their holder's names before the actual item's names. Is it possible that Reyvin sells his specific circlet just coincidentally?
I dont know if its cause of a mod or the Unofficial patch... but I found one of this imperial helmet in the Ratway warrens in the room of Hefid the Deaf...
Fun Fact: You only have to “technically” side w/ the forsworn to get boots of the old god. You can kill their king and all the escaped prisoners immediately after the king in rags gives them to you. The quest will end thereafter as if you didn’t side w/ the forsworn.
Yeah, I just waited until the escape was complete, and then killed everyone. The Orc dude got lifted by my great sword through his gut, then fell into the little stream that runs through Morthal, and I watched him drift away. It was one of my all time best Skyrim moments.
The leather boots remind me of that post on tumblr that is like “why is leather armor good for sneaking? Because it’s made of hide” Edit: why is this popular
For anyone curious, you can also obtain three pairs of the Emperor's Robes. The first can be looted off the body double you poison or kill, the second on the Emperor himself, and the third will be located somewhere in the Emperor's personal quarters on the ship.
14:09 Herbane was meant to be a mini boss you encounter in the Meredia quest. He guards a narrow, external bridge halfway through the dungeon. The mod, ‘Cutting Room Floor’ adds him and all of the armor Nate spoke of (as well as a ton of other cut content from the game). I refuse to do a playthru without it!
Yeah, I just did Break of Dawn, yesterday, and had to fight him on Kilkreath Balcony. When Nate mentioned him not being in the game, I was slightly confused, but I am rocking 'Cutting Room Floor', so I had no idea Herbane wasn't originally in the game. While I kept Herbane's sword and shield, I had no idea his helmet was rare, unfortunately.
Broke: Waiting 3 hours for a circlet with a unique name to spawn in Woke: Enchanting a circlet and changing its name to have a circlet with the same name but even better
"It took me literary 3 hours to get this thing"... Have you ever played Diablo II? Getting something "rare and unique" in 3 hours is considered near impossibly godly RNG! There are people who has been farming literary years for just one specific item.
The Aetherial shield looks so damn cool, I'm glad I got the Aetherial armor and weapons mod to get an entire suit of Aetherium armor. And they made the armor value higher than any other heavy armor, so it is actually useful regardless of level
With a name like "Reyvn Sadri's Copper and Onyx Circlet", I suspect that this item was originally supposed to be the object of a Thieves' Guild fishing quest but that was cut for some reason and the item recycled into his merchandise listing instead.
The atheirium circlet: light weight, high cost and gives the wearer the bonus of 2 standing stone blessings instead of having only the default 1. Highly useful while leveling up and after capping levels.
i must confess that i tortured him so many times in so many horrible ways.. "Hey guys, it's Nate here. Here i'll show you 5 torture methods to apply on Nazeem that you may have missed, in Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim" :D
I didnt even get the chance, i spent hours planning his perfect demise, the night before the assassination was to be carried out he was killed by freaking vampires.....
Rofl I snapped that guys neck I beheaded him with a war hammer I shot him in the eye with an arrow i slit his throat with a dagger i chopped his head with an war axe I kicked him in the stomach then chopped his head off with 2 swords burned him to death froze him you name it I done it rofl
Yeah I was like "this sounds really cool and useful" then Nate mentioned that you have to use the regular shield bash and the effect doesn't work otherwise. Thus you might not be able to use what makes it special at all if you get it.
Suggestion for future video: A new item introduced into the lore in The Elder Scrolls Online is a Dragon Horn, which is a horn taken from an actual dragon and imbued with magic that has the power to weaken a dragon and knock it out of the sky, similar to the Dragonrend shout. Well, the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller, which is an item that appears in the Skyrim main quest bears a striking resemblance to a Dragon Horn. While Jurgen Windcaller is a Nord and not a dragon, Dragon Horns are named after the humans that they were given to instead of the dragon that they came from, as the Horn of Ja'darri is named after the Khajiit hero, Ja'darri instead of the dragon, Nahfahlaar, who gave it to her. What's interesting is that Paarthurnax is actually missing one of his horns, and the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller is the same colour as Paarthurnax. Perhaps, like Nahfahlaar, Paarthurnax gave Jurgen Windcaller his horn as a sort of insurance policy in case he couldn't renounce his draconic nature and slipped back into his old ways. Whatever the case may be, only Jurgen Windcaller knows for sure, and Jurgen isn't talking.
@@JamesRiderX no fault of yours, it is a fault of nates mispronouncing words. The books he mentions in the video are all called "herbane's beastiary" so he should have said it correctly. He also says array instead of awry.
Warmed my heart that you mentioned the imperial helmet, always was my go to for a Roman looking character. However a similar item with open face spawns on the imperial female in helgens keep. Wish I could remember but I swear this spawned elsewhere
If you join stormcloaks the legiate who guard tullius also wear officir helmet. And in wharehouse(where you follow the lizard for thieves guilt)there is the closed helmet with face schield
Lost to the Ages is one of my favorite quests. You need to read the journal and track down the items with no map markers. Makes for a very Morrowind feeling quest. Plus the companion you meet is really cool and voiced very well. Actually added a mod to keep her around after the quest is over.
maybe you were just tired while recording this but i can’t help but notice that you sound either a bit sad or tired, and just in case, i just wanted to say how amazing not only ur skyrim but fallout videos are ! i absolutely love ur channel !! i hope everything is okay and if im just overthinking things then, well, you just get a bit extra fan love !! :)
A while ago I was attacked by two bandits outside solitude and one of them had the closed imperial helmet on and I was devastated when I couldn't loot it off his corpse.
@@silvercandra4275 he says factor of 15%. You don't measure percentages with factors. Also its maths you idiots, unless you learnt it once it's called maths
There was a 4th location for the helmet, there is also a place where there is an Easter egg to 300, in which there is a skeleton that killed a saber tooth, and that helmet there too.
I have. I dont recommend it honestly. Not enough going for it to make it worth while, i installed a mod that gave all the locations for the shards and even with that it was not worth the end result.
Baldur Scorn by the time my character gets around all those places, my character is already pretty rich and that makes it pretty useless. Its pretty to look at, but again, once Im done with the thieves guild, I dont go there anymore and I wont even see it. Its too bad, it could maybe have been a cooler thing to acquire.
The first time i did the quest is the only time i haven't gotten the crown. I got the shield, saw what it did then reloaded and got the crown. I've never picked the staff because why pick that?
@@kaiservb The staff was made completely obsolete after the Dragonborn DLC was released because you could get a Dwarven Sphere as a follower at that point
I'm pretty sure at this point there'll be a random NPC in the next one just like the ebony warrior that'll show up after you've done everything, say 'hey guys!' and then tell you about something that you missed but seems completely obvious when you're told about it.
Shame Skyrim is so entirely linear in terms of quests. I would have loved the option to side with Morvarth or help the Forsworn take The Reach or even side with the Thalmor in anything.
That’s usually how Bethesda goes. Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4. Good gameplay but the story falls extremely flat due to linear pathing. If only they had Obsidian devs do Skyrim. Couldn’t let that happen tho, because then you have a FNV/Fo3 situation where most people like New Vegas more than 3
I remember the first time I found that helmet, it was on the second location Nate said, I freaked out just for the fact that it was " *the loading screen helmet* " and since then I wear it in all playthroughs I do
If your a PC user, and have the "cutting room floor" mod, it re-adds a lot of cut content. Herbane is added in to Meridia's temple, and is a sub boss. Spawns in on the section where you briefly come outside the temple......and hes arguably tougher than the main boss of the temple
@@joberiousfan8981 sorry I meant i was playing on ps4 at the time. It was the pro version and could handle some nice graphics and weather mods, but it had limited access go restoration of content mods. Idk why i didn't clarify better at the time lol. I must have been on skooma when i posted
There is a set of Stormcloack Officer Armor that one can get without joining the Stormcloaks. After escaping Helgen with Ralof, go to Forelhost and kill Captain Valmir without triggering the quest he’s associated with. To avoid triggering his quest, snipe him while in sneak mode or not, then you can loot the armor off of him.
Be sure both your sneak and archery skills are mid to high level, and that you are far from him so he doesn’t spot you to talk with you, about when he appears to be no bigger than a bug to you should be far enough. If you can one shot him, you won’t get a bounty on you. If you’re not sure of the chances, go around to his left while being that far from him, then try and snipe him. Since you’re not in front of him, even if you fail to one shot him, you won’t get a bounty. To avoid triggering the quest attached to him, don’t read his order, and sell it to bender.
Hi Nate, did you know that these boot collections you mentioned can actually be found in several dungeons containing vampires? It'd be a nice thing to cover in your skyrim mysteries series
Use Dead Thrall on the Emperor and you can get a set of Emperor robes every time he dies. Just Dead Thrall him after looting him and get a load screen and he will be re equipped.
In the last gen versions (PS3 and Xbox 360) there is a Glitch that lets you duplicate items without the Armor Stand. All you need is a Follower. How you do it. Go into one of the Cities drop all the items you want to Dupe then have your follower pick them up. After fast travel to another city then fast travel back. There is a 70% chance the game will spawn in a duplicate of the item you dropped. I was able to get several Mehrunes Razors by doing this.
I’ve been watching all your videos forever now and still miss things? I really gotta look for cool stuff instead of collecting hundreds of thousands of bottles of mead for no real reason.
You can find the imperial helmet in the East Empire warehouse as well. It can be found on the shelves in the back where you end up following Gulum-Ei to for a Thieves Guild misson.
Maybe I've been playing skyrim too long but I thought most of these weren't hidden or hard to find. The circlet is probably the only hard thing on the list. Idk.
The common kitchen knife that you can use as a weapon at the entrance to the East empire company warehouse, and the sword at the very tip of the bough of the emperors ship were my favorite discoveries in my play through
The last time I was this early the empire was a faction who could hold control over their territory and don’t lose it to some gang of nords. Yeah that was a long time ago
They only lost to the Talmor on my play through. I killed Ulfric myself. I was a sad day knowing he was just a puppet being manipulated by the elves. I wish he would listen and joined his fellow humans to reach independence from the nasty en slavers called Altmer.
@@jacrispy3275 That's true and rude of me. Is true that there are a lot of amazing elves but the Talmor is composed by Altmer and some Bosmer. Thanks for clearing that out.
Speaking of the Aetherium forge. After completing the quest you can encounter Taron Dreth in a random encounter which can occur at a number of locations, including the Silver-Blood Inn. He has unique robes called funnily enough Taron Dreth's robes. They are a variety of master robes with an inferior enchantment.
Luna Yeah!! I love putting it on my female characters, they look so bad ass! But i also love putting steel armor on them because then all my characters match farkas and he’s my husband ❤️
I'm betting that soarshield was the guy from the books. And he was going to write one about dragons. Where he would probably fail and you could get his armor
